Warch Miami as soon as the C's score 3 buckets in a row Spoelsra runs on the court calls timeout to stop the C's momentum. Mazulla will let a team score 10, 15 points in a row before he reluctantly calls a timeout, almost like he doesn't know what they're for, he's awful

It’s pretty simple for the Celtics. They need to tweak their style just a bit. Too much iso ball and way too reliant on 3’s. Anybody can beat them when they constantly shoot 3’s early in the shot clock
Yup but that’s the coach - his adjustments to anything is to shoot more 3s.

It was the opposite last night. They didn’t shoot enough threes, they only shot 32 I think to Miami’s 40 something threes. If the Celtics run their usual offense of drive and kick to create threes the game would’ve been different. They played right into maimi’s hand by taking more 2 point shots because that’s what was there but Miami wanted that so they could get up more threes than the Celtics which worked great for them

They've got one indisputable weakness - an inexperienced coaching robot who is inflexible and unable to make in game adjustments and to effectively manage and motivate his players. They should never have brought him back after the second half and playoff flame out last year - regardless of regular season success - a bunch of blowouts against weak teams- with all the really good coaches out there - this team is talented but not mature enough - they need a strong coaching hand

Miami is built for the playoffs. The regular season is just testing grounds for what's going to happen in the playoffs. All the lineup changes makes it so everyone can play with everyone

Spo is the only coach that makes a real difference. The other coaches are basically man manager, pleasing their superstar(s) is the main job and being the scapegoat in case the stars fail to perform. I don’t see Miami repeating this type of shooting again and although I’m not a believer in the Celtics, I think they will beat the Heat in this series. With Joel Embiid being somewhat hampered, with the Bucks missing their best player the Celtics probably come out of the east. But they will lose to Denver in the finals. Denver should handle a maturing Dallas team in the Western Conference finals.

Celtics fan it isn't a weakness it's a coaching flaw. The Celtics are the most frustrating team because they think talent over substance wins. Stop their 3 they have nothing because the coach never runs plays to freebplayers up,they don't play with pace or ball movement. All the talking heads predicted an easy Boston win in this series. We know this, in spite of what they did last year and their propensity for making life a living hell for opponents.
What I really want to know is the secret, private thoughts of true Celtics fans as they watched their team runaway with the East, only to watch Miami have to play in the play in….only to end up the 8th seed….against Boston!

Franchise record 23 3's and one of the best 3 point shooting games in NBA history. All that needs to be said. That's what it took to beat the Celtics, while they also played an uncharacteristically horrendous game overall on both ends of the floor.
I just wouldn't expect the Heat to shoot like that all series, it's unreasonable and unprecedented in the history of the game. The heat are going to be pests, even without Butler. But winning the 7 game series? It's so unlikely, regardless of this game. I say 4-2 Celtics. 4-3 Celtics if the Heat manage to keep up the shooting.

Miami is in their head regardless of what anyone says. The Heat were a missed 3pt away in 2022 from beating the 3 times in the ECF. The Lakers shot 428 more free throws than their opponents. 2nd was the Kings at 205. Without this advantage I doubt the Lakers would even have made the play-in. The Nuggets were -30 compared to their opponents. When is the NBA going to address the Laker "whistle." No wonder the Lakers expect the refs to bail them out in close games. The league never addressed the "Donghay" issue. And now that gambling is a large revenue stream for the league???

Here's how i see it. The heat had to hit a record breaking number of 3's, Porzingis had to have his worst game of the season, and get the bare minimum from the Celtics bench to barely lose to Miami. The Heat have the coaching and mental advantage which I believe will win them another game but i don't think it's enough still to win the series.
