Evade Extender 1 is technically not required, but it's a completely pain in the ass without it. Thanks to bladescale hone 3, you can tell I'm not relying on iframes for the fight except for roars and a few messups.
Build Details below. Note that this set is not optimised and acquired legitimately. Irrelevant skills (ice attack, divine blessing, mind's eye) are left out.
For general play I recommend prioritising Speed Sharpening 3, Stun Resistance 3, Protective Polish 3 over Bladescale Hone and Razor Sharp.

Having some difficulties vs HR Zinogre. But from what i see from this video i should spend more time on axe mode till the opportunity to counter play comes.
Great video I always love seeing high-level monster Hunter game play. Even when the game stops getting updates they're still always something to do in it like rolling for talisman's or just getting really good at fighting the monsters.
Rolling for talismans and qurio armor is a pain in the rear and I just want to make builds and play them immediately instead of spam rolling for exclusive skills that don't have decos.

I didn’t know you like MH too, awesome man. Maybe some souls players will see this and give MH a try, I hope so because I really like it and I had never played it until I heard about it from a souls youtuber. I also play Switch Axe a lot, it’s amazing in Sunbreak. Nice run 👍

Well according to Hunter's Notes I've killed him 44 times total. There were a bunch of reset attempts while learning but of course I had killed him before too. I'd say it took about 20 minutes originally, down to 15 for a while but eventually down to 10-11 minutes when I started getting more aggressive.
So probably like 10-12 hours of fighting him for this kill. Though I already had a lot of experience because my first time fighting the monster I did it full solo and my build sucked ass at the time (I would get one shot even by tailswipes)
@@BigDBrian Yeah the time on this kill here is very impressive. My kill times rarely even go below 20 minutes, and while my build is far from optimized it does make use of risen elder dragon armor lol.
I am wondering how hard this would be with greatsword, my main weapon atm. Probably quite doable with crit draw, seeing as strongarm stance wouldn't be allowed for this challenge.
@@blobvisfan666 compared to a casual hunt it's reasonably fast but this kill could reasonably be done below 10 minutes with the same strategy from just cleaner execution. Greatsword should do fine, maybe better than Swaxe once you get it down, but idk.
My volume isn't even that low you're just playing on 90dB
