Christmas and the holidays can make you feel lonely and depressed especially if you are not surrounded by family and friends. It's worse when you are outside of Africa alone. Here in Canada the suicide rates are the highest during December. People here travel across the country to be with families, and if you don't have family, you will literally be stuck at home alone. As festive and beautiful the holidays bring, it can also be very devastating.
Its terrible having Christmas away from home and people you love. This year's Christmas has been my 3rd Christmas in a row here in Canada 🇨🇦 away from family and everything I'm used. The feeling Is always the same

Filipinos are predominantly Christian country and they are very hospitable people. Am pretty sure 100% that you will enjoy a new year with you and her family...its just unacceptable in a Filipino culture to spend Christmas and New Year holidays alone, its not part of their culture...Philippines has the longest Christmas celebration in the whole world.
