The Olympic lifter in you shining through the way you triple extend at the top even if it isn’t necessary to complete the deadlift. Just Found your channel a couple of days ago. Awesome content man keep up the good work
That's very impressive(Iam impressed with your movement practice more though). Do you train deadlifts often or you got the strength from movement practice? Thanks for what you are sharing!
lockhart is exactly right. if you watch the video you can see the conventional grip all the way up to 405, where it fails, then I switch to the reverse grip for the rest (and can pull significantly more with it). Basically, when your hand starts to open, the bar rotates, so if your hands face opposite direction, the direction of that rotation as the bar would slip out of each hand would counteract each other, allowing a small increase in functional grip strength.
Yes! Lots. I'd love to make a video about it too- at this point I've probably taught over 100 people how to deadlift. One easy & super effective tip I've been using lately (that almost single handedly got me this PR) is a distal external focus, (See intro to movement pt. 3 here ua-cam.com/video/Ilud2Lu_TSA/v-deo.html). Basically, as you pull, focus on moving or reaching your head towards the ceiling.
@@BrenTeachesMovement John haack says he thinks about getting his hips forward to the bar rather than lifting the weight, what do you think about that?
Keep going brother💪💪💪

I take a huge amount of pride from reading this comment. Thank you for your sharp eyes and appreciation, Giulio :).

Can't be too intellectual all the time :)
Congrats on the PR 🎉
Thank you!

can you tell why one hand is always supinated?
It helps with grip having one hand pronated and the other supplanted. Mixed grip.
You can also try hook grip and or use lifting straps.

Do you have any advice on improving deadlift strength?

@@BrenTeachesMovement thank you so much for the reply. My deadlift session is in two hours so this came at a great time
@@BrenTeachesMovement I tried it and it helped so much!
