- The tool is made from Birds Eye maple. It is a simple design and works very well. I have made clamps from as little as 3/8" dia hose to clamping a 10" dia 8 sides flower pot. I will be selling this type clamp for around $30. If interested contact me in the comments below.
The calculate the length of a wire take the hose diameter times Pi to get the circumference, then take that times 4 and add 10 inches.
(Pi x Dia) x 4 + 10
I fell asleep before you even got the tool out!
Making the tool out of wood was a new variation to me. Very nice!
Definitely the best looking wire clamper I've seen.
6:43 you are relieving the clamp tension here, possibly causing a leak.
It would’ve been helpful to demonstrate the wooden tool, how it’s made and how it was assembled

Nice simple design. I paid a lot more for one that does exactly the same thing.
Gracias senior.
It's better to leave the two sides separated with a gap in the middle instead of squeezing them together - it leaves room for the tool to make a nice tight clamp and provides a spot for the wire ends to neatly fold down into after you cut off the excess. Also, don't do this with copper wire - hose clamps need to be strong not soft.
Exellente.good my friend . Saludos.??
Very nice!
Thanks
Gracias por la exposición
How many fingernail breakages do you experience? I can't believe those are a workman's hands.

Dude….. fingernails!!
Those nails are playing classical guitar ... also very useful tools for small things like fishing knots and sewing. You're very observant, good call.
@@mitchappleby9166 i hope you're better at the classical guitar than you are at this boring demonstration

@@mitchappleby9166 You play both right-handed and left-handed?
That’s too much time and trouble to just install a hose clamp.
When you learn how to do it, it just takes moments.
