And didn’t remember the stories his father told him about the stories of Joaquin’s grandfather’s heroic deeds and legacy as Zorro……when Joaquin was a baby
Translation [0:37 - 2:13] Zorro: Let's speak in Spanish, the language of our fathers. Joaquin: My mother won't believe this! Zorro: No, it would be better if you didn't tell your mother about this. Joaquin: Why not? Zorro: I'm the one asking the questions. Now, why aren't you in school? Joaquin: The man with the scar on his face. I knew he was up to something. You really showed that son of a b*tch. Zorro: Hey, watch your mouth. Those men are killers. Whatever they had in those crates was very dangerous and now I don't know what it was, as I was too busy getting you out of trouble. Joaquin: (in English) You mean this? Zorro: Soap?! That's all there was? Joaquin: (in English) Lots and lots of it. Zorro: Are you sure? Joaquin: (in English) Would I lie to you? Zorro: Spanish, kid, Spanish, and this isn't a game. Your father would have a heart attack if he knew what you did. Joaquin: No, he wouldn't, he doesn't care. Yesterday he forgot about me. Zorro: No, I don't think he forgot. What you have to understand is... no, your father should have been there. Next time he will be. Joaquin: How do you know? Zorro: I know. I promise. Joaquin: Thank you, Zorro.
Lol i love how his face is like "uh oh, he mite recognize my voice if i speak english". Hearing them speaking spanish is beautiful. Im glad i have a dad thats from peru. But being born and raised in canada, i feel bad i never learned spanish
@Yosif Alhasil Joaquin Murrieta was the historical inspiration which the film has his brother Alejandro take on the mantal of Zorro. Historically, Joaquin had no brother as far as we know, but his family was brutally murdered by colonialist Americans during the 1840 gold rushes in California. Joaquin was a native Mexican to the land and after loosing his family became an outlaw robbing and killing Anglo-Americans including avenging his family and was considered a hero to his native people. It's highly doubtful Joaquin never returned what he stole to the people. Johnson McCully created Zorro in 1919 and was inspired by the legends of native Mexican California's in creating the character. The giveback element was more inspired by the legends and tales of English lord Robin of Locksley AKA Robin Hood. While Zorro can be credited in both literature and film as the FIRST SUPER HERO STORY, ironically both him and Robin Hood inspired the Dynamic Duo themselves with Batman and Robin.

And did they hide for all these 10 years that they have a horse? How was Joaquin even trained to have many of Zorro's moves?
