- The National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (abbreviated as Perpusnas) is a non-ministerial government institution that carries out government duties in the library sector which functions as a supervisory library, reference library, deposit library, research library, preservation library and library network center, and is located in the nation's capital.
The National Library Service Facilities Building is located on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan No.11, Jakarta and most of its offices are on Jalan Salemba Raya No. 28A.
The National Library is under and responsible to the President. On September 14 2017, President Joko Widodo inaugurated the new National Library Services Facility Building which is the highest national library in the world (126.3 meters) with 24 floors, plus three floors of underground parking (basement).
