@Philosophy - You make a good point. It may be better for Thomas Brown to be the OC in the booth upstairs vs. head coach. His success these next 4 weeks are conpletely dependent on DC Eric Washington somehow keeping the games close. He has to figure out how to effectively call defensive plays. If the Bears can beat Minesota and Green Bay, I think the Bears could keep Thomas Brown as HC or OC. If Thomas Brown is more comfortable upstairs in the booth, is it possible to have Co-Head coaches? Thomas Brown could be a Co-Head Coach upstairs and a defensive minded coach can be the Co-Head coach on the field? I would think it is easier to call plays from upstairs and Thomas Brown is getting an idea which one he prefers. He may prefer to perpetually call plays from upstairs instead of being a HC on the field.

Everyone complaining about the players but still giving Poles a pass? Stop yourself. Coaching is also a massive piece of the puzzle. Another strike for Poles. Time for a clean slate after already wasting CW18 year one
I believe that Poles should get a pass. Was the Eberflus hire really his decision? To be fair to Poles he built a competitive roster. Better wr room, better qb room, and additions to the oline (that seemed ok at the time). The people who had expectations of a playoff run were on crack. At best, this team would be one and done. Prior to the season it was obvious that the dline needed help and that the oline needed a couple more pieces as well. But you can't do all of that in one offseason. Most of his moves have been solid. Every gm has their misses. Bears fans have got to chill out and let this thing play out. Poles is the best gm we've had in a while and we can't cast him away after one season below expectations. Impatience is irrational.
OD-Green - Are you objective? Ryan Poles has compiled a roster that is not completely turned over to his guys. It will be in 2025 and that is why he deserves one more season. Here are some things that happened that are not the responsibility of Ryan Poles: 1. Caleb Williams threw 2 interceptions against Houston which made the difference in the game. 2. Caleb Williams threw 2 interceptions with a lost fumble against Indianapolis which made the difference in the game. 3. Tyrique Stevenson taunted fans and tipped Jayden Daniels pass directly to Noah Brown while nobody on defense was guarding him. The DE's rushing Jayden Daniels let him get outside the pocket. The defense lost the game. 4. Cairo Santos had his FG blocked which may have cost the game vs. Green Bay. No guarantee he makes the kick if it wasn't blocked. 5. DeAndre Carter somehow lets a punt hit him in the leg instead of going for a fair catch against Minnesota that cost the Bears the possession and gave Minnesota points. Cairo Santos had a FG blocked in consecutive games. No adjustment like possibly having Tory Taylor setup 2 yarda further in the backfield. These plays ultimately made the diffrrence in the game. 6. Caleb Williams missed a wide open D.J. Moore with 44 seconds left against Detroit that could have gone for a TD. Refs make an inaccurate horsecollar call on Kyler Gordon which cost the Bears stopping Detroit's drive and led to a TD for Detroit. Cole Kmet had two unnecessary penalties that cost the Bears large gains and ultimately very good field position at the end. Teven Jenkins took off the helmet of a DL from Deteoit that cost the Bears a first down. After the sack with 30 seconds left in the game, Matt Eberflus and the entire team pleaded with Caleb Williams to rush the team to the line to get a play off as soon as possible while he took his time like there was 2 minutes left in the game. Ultimately, it was too late to call a timeout and the Bears had to change a play which took 5 seconds too long. Caleb Williams also called an unnecessary timeout two plays before that would have allowed the Bears to call a timeout after the sack. NONE of these losses were the responsibility of Ryan Poles. Caleb Williams is a rookie and is going through a growth process but he has a part in the losses. The special teams coach is responsible for at least 2 losses. Matt Eberflus is responsible for not calling a timeout against Washington to get the defense set, against Detroit when he realized Caleb Williams was taking his time for who knows what reason and also not calling a timeout against Indianapolis on a crucial 4th and goal play that was clear figured out by the defense that had a DE and LB on the line on the side where the play was going. Personnel and Coaching.

For Justin Jefferson. He failed the last time the Bears played them. Hardly anyone in the media even noticed. If he was on the Bears and played that way, the media would jump all over him. See it? See the pattern? You are the problem, not the team.
What possible good reason would the nfl benefit from the bears having a good team. Im sure there sales are ALWAYS tops in the league with this trash every year.
Good point. The NFL is definitely about certain teams having success year in and year out (KC, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Baltimore - all the lesser tier cities) and with betting organizations being the primary sponsors of the league, it would be hard to believe that manipulation of outcomes with calls here and there is not happening. The NFL appears to not need the Bears to be a top team (or any of the big cities - LA, Chicago, New York) as fans remain loyal regardless because of their size and history. It is a joke at this point that KC gets all the calls - I could also say that the Bears get none.
