Akai MPC Key 61 - Live Recording Tutorial - Joy to the World

The MPC Key 61 makes recording easy and fun and I'm challenging myself to live record a song a day till Christmas! This first beat for day one is Joy to the World. I recorded this video live on the MPC Key 61 with no planning ahead, so while it's not a perfect recording, I had a blast doing it! My goal was to be creative on the fly and give you a glimpse into my recording process!

Nice - how do you change the volume of a single drum pad - like if you want to lower the volume of the pad 2 on the bottom row OR replace that sound with a different sample while keeping the rest of the kit as is?

Explode the drum track and you can have each component on it’s on track.
