The scariest parts aren't even the drops it's when you shoot up quickly and you keep going up and up knowing the higher you go the longer you'll fall! Such a great ride.
Next time you're on this ride and feel scared, think about this: you're not actually dropping. A very thick wire is simply pulling you down. It's still scary, but it always helps me.

I love the soundtrack and theme to this beloved attraction. Luckily we still have tower of terror at Disney World. Really sad to see the Disneyland TOT not there😔
If you had ridden both the Disneyland and WDW versions, you would only be sad that the Disneyland version exists. All of the tech in the Disneyland version was way better, especially the audio design, however the pacing of the show elements of the attraction start-to-finish, including in the queuing area, is just so badly off that it loses the impression that the WDW version delivers so well despite being 15 years older.
Greg Peden I'm not comparing, I am only saying that I'm glad to see that the WDW Tower of terror is still there. I find them both amazing attractions. But now people that live nearby DLR would have to drive/fly to Florida to ride this amazing attraction.
Personally I actually think it's better when attractions don't get copied between parks. Inevitably, instead of discussion on the unique virtues of each park and why people should visit both, talk turns to which version of each copycat attraction is better. What Disney should be doing is copying the tech / ride systems between the parks but using them for very different thematic concepts in each park. This satisfies the efficiency of scale advantage that provides without repeating the attraction from the guests' perspective.
Greg Peden I personally liked when they constructed TOT at Disney's California Adventure. I usually hate when they copy other attractions and say "this attraction is very original and could be found no were else". But I thought it fit the theme pretty well considering it's only about 20 minutes away from Hollywood. DCA did update some of there effects so it's not even an identical experience to the WDW Tower of terror.

I'm with you. I prayed so hard... everyone was laughing at me praying and calling on God. I was like Jesus, I'll never ride this again if you get me off this thing safely. Never again.

I rode this ride for my band trip. We went to this ride and figured out that this ride was built 30 years ago. As soon as we got on, the first drop my bag went flying😂.
Honestly, I was here today and the rides are definitely not worth it. The lines were extremely long and I heard there was a ride that’s line was 4 hours long which is crazy. I recommend going on a day that is not busy because if you go over the breaks it’s a nightmare and not worth your money.

Man I fucking miss this as a field trip! Ah the memories!
