@@Trackmaster_Tehachapi the model of big Boy looked way too accurate to the real thing but I unfortunately didn't had the time finish the models and then since moved on from it ,note this happened over 5 years ago. MAN those GS's models are clean ass hell! But have you seen what some people in Japan did for their big boy customs? Etheir way, looking good so far, can't wait to see more progress ^^
@@Scott_3F I’ll keep everyone updated on progress as I go. Unfortunately there might not be much to talk about with the actual body, so it may get a community post. But actually printing and testing the body would be interesting!
Re-checked it, they're actually selling 3d printed shells. Check '[Modified Plarail] Pennsylvania Railroad T1' That's pretty cool, they have a unique power solution that lets them get all wheel drive, could be useful for making something like s big boy.
IDEA: Fix one of the bogies to the body, modify the bogie frame so that a motor can fit, and power that bogie while leaving the other one articulated and unpowered.
I think you should make parts of the locomotives's liveries or at least the text out of Cricut stickers or HO transfer stickers. the hand drawn windows, details etc. don't look all that good and from all this work I know you can make great stuff!
We're more than half way to 2k but anyways I would like to see a atsf 0-6-0 switcher with the back and go Thomas chassie AFTER your done with doing the other suggestions
3D printed. File’s not public yet bc it’s a flawed design, so I’ll be working out as many kinks as possible to make sure it’s good enough for publishing

why not have the rear set of drivers powered and the front set as a dummy unit that can swivel if you need more power you could put a second power unit in the tender not only would there be twice the power but the dummy piece could be cut down or modified to not interfere with the boiler
@@sliverjack0283 it would just be easier to have the actual big boy be a dummy, and have the tender be the motor, similar to how Hank and Emily’s Trackmasters are, where I can get more realism out of the model rather than make it more big and bulky. @@Trackmaster_Tehachapi ahh I see! Well, whatever the case, I’m very interested to see how this goes!
@Trackmaster_Tehachapi also make a tutorial on how to add front couplers to trackmaster locomotives
@GTKCF2023 no tutorial needed. Just take a front coupler off a truck and hot glue it on the loco
I really like this concept! It seems like the only minor issue I can think of is siderods, but oh well, it'll still be awesome to see!
I’ll just cut down siderods to be short (similar to the Plarail Edward and Oliver siderods)
Ah, ok then! Best of luck!

I've seen some incredible things done with trackmaster/tomy. Some Japanese guy made a decent looking PRR T1, you can do this dude.

2012 to 2023 or 2024
with this chassis you have proven a PRR t1 is possible to make
Someone in Japan already made a Plarail T1, albeit in a more conventional/traditional Plarail Style than this
@nottelling8129 yeah but his wheel Arrangement would be more accurate to the t1
If the big boy plan doesn’t work I’d say make challenger since it has a smaller wheelbase or 844. You simply can’t have a 4449 without an 844.
