- The National Defence Academy (NDA) is getting ready to welcome female aspirants in the upcoming entrance exam cycles, owing to the Supreme Court's interim order on the ongoing issue of allowing women candidates to join the prestigious defence academy of the country. Only male candidates were previously eligible to take the NDA entrance exam, but with the Supreme Court's recent decision, the struggle for women's long-awaited right to apply for admission to the prestigious National Defence Academy has finally achieved success. Following the Supreme Court's recent ruling and the Armed Forces' decision to allow female aspirants to join the NDA Khadakwasla, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is likely to include both male and female aspirants in its future notification for the NDA entrance exam. In this article, we have covered the NDA exam eligibility criteria for girls as well as the key highlights of the Supreme Court's recent adjudication.
Eligibility Criteria for Girls to Take the NDA Entrance Exam
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will soon release the official notification for the NDA-1 2022 exam cycle, which will include complete information regarding the eligibility requirements for female candidates who will be taking the NDA entrance exam for the first time. Earlier, in its previous notification for the NDA-2 2021 exam cycle, the UPSC has allowed only male candidates to appear for the NDA entrance exam which is scheduled to be conducted on 14th November 2021. Certain specific eligibility requirements for female candidates, such as nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications, are expected to remain the same as for male applicants, however, physical and medical standards may be relaxed for the female aspirants.
Nationality: All Indian nationals including both male and female, within the specified age limit, will be eligible to appear for the upcoming NDA entrance exam.
Age Limit: The age limit of all female candidates who wish to join the National Defence Academy through the NDA entrance exam should be between 16.5-19.5 years. The detailed information regarding the minimum and maximum age limits for female aspirants is expected to be released soon by the Union Public Service Commission in its upcoming exam cycle.
Educational Qualification: Female aspirants who wish to join the National Defence Academy should have passed the 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized board. However, those candidates who wish to join the Air Force or Navy should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. The 12th appearing female aspirants may also be allowed to appear for the upcoming NDA entrance exam after satisfying the required eligibility norms.
Marital Status: Female aspirants who wish to join the prestigious National Defence Academy should be unmarried to comply with the rules and governing principles of the Armed Forces.
The above information is based on the previous notifications issued by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) with regard to the NDA entrance exam. The official notification in this reference is yet to be announced by the UPSC. We will update the details following the alterations in the official notification once it is issued by the exam conducting authority. As per new education policy by 6 yrs of age one should be admitted to class 1... So by age 16 he/she will clear 10th and by 18 yrs one will clear his 12th. I think this age limit should be increased to atleast 19.5 for exam and 20.5 for joining... Else aspirants will only concentate on NDA exams and not on 12th ( which is also very imp)

You can actually Get ready for maths exam within 6 to 7 month. But you need to give your 5-6 hours of a day for NCERT of class 11th and 12th.

@@anuhooda9169 Minimum height prescribed is 157 cms ( for air force it's 162.5 cms ) and certain exceptions are applicable for candidates based on their region!
Note - But u must know that the height eligibility must correspond to the prescribed weight category ! For example - if u r 16 to 17 yrs , then ur weight must be 48kgs and the corresponding height must be 162 and so on or vice versa ! 😁

I dreamt of joining this till yesterday, now it's just a dream and not possible anymore..My eyes sight became so worse that it is -5D. I waited for so much time hoping that one day NDA will be open for girls and now when it's finally open I can't join..I'm shattered. This was my only soul aim and now it's no more..The feeling is.....Can't express. Now every time YT recommends me a video related to NDA I have tears in my eyes.
