- Ghanaian rapper and singer-songwriter Black Sherif collaborates with decorated Nigerian singer-songwriter Burna Boy for the remix of Second Sermon.
2021 has been quite rewarding for Black Sherif after several years of persevering for an industry breakthrough. On May 17th 2021, the release of 1st Sermon Freestyle lay the first stone of the Blacko era. This success of this masterpiece propelled Black Sherif to the major leagues earning him co-signs from the likes of Sarkodie, UK based award-winning Ghanaian producer JAE5 and other big names in the African music eco-system.
Few months after, Blacko (as also called) reaffirmed his stay in the Ghanaian music industry, proving naysayers who doubted his consistency, wrong. On July 16th 2021, Black Sherif released the second installment of the sermon freestyle with a theme revolving around the ordeals around the Ghanaian youth. The fly-on-the-wall story line made it easier for the heart-wrenching Ghanaian youth to resonate with it.

If the remix is not needed, then someone like me would have not known about it in far away germany, As an artist, you will always hope that your song knows no borders, Burna boy just sold out a 20,000 capacity concert hall in Hamburg few days ago, singing to a crowd that mostly doesn't understand half of his song and yet they're going crazy, why would Black Sheriff not want that for himself.

The line "back road gee with the brukutu brukutu" is a reference to the uk rapper "Back road gee". You can check out Pa Salieu's song where he feature on called "my family". He has a line in there like that

Brukutu is also a word we Nigerians use as well.
Its just like wizkid doing a remix of Essence with Justine bieber.
Many black Americans and Africans complained It was needless, but at the end it got a lot of white people to listen to wizkid.
How can anyone oppose this remix. Burna is a grammy award winner artist. This Is a major boost for BLACKSHERIF!! Massive props to him.
@Ishmael Aminu music is subjective. You may hate the song, but some love it. But to me, it's bigger than the verse of the song. Look at the exposure. This remix will not benefit burna in any way. Burna being on the song will expose blacksheruff to the Nigerian market and the international market. So let's focus on that.

@Ishmael Aminu it's not that. But I see your point. I also think Burnaboy didn't deliver his best but it's mainly due to the genre of the song. He just doesn't sound well on a song like this. Blacko should have done a separate song with burna. But the track still be fire
