So.. I was watching season 8 this year, and I loved Lexie's journey. Her realizing that no matter how much she try to ignore it, and how much she doesn't want to, she is still in love with Mark, and then seeing her tortured with the fact that he's really moved on and not loving her back, to the point of her telling him what's she's feeling. I just loved seeing this. I enjoyed this storyline so much.
Until a week ago I was 100% sure that we'll get a huge epic reunion in the finale. And I was listening to this song, and I thought how amazing it would be to make a Lexie POV video. Because this song is just so perfect for them, And I started it last week, believing I would put in it the big reunion from the finale. And then I watched 8x24 promo. I knew it would be Lexie right from the start. My heart completely broken for them, it was so heartbreaking. She's hearing all of the things she hoped to hear from him, in the very last moments of her life.
As much as that scene was beautiful, the death wasn't necessary, and even if the actress wanted out, it didn't have to be her dying. And even if she had to die.. she didn't have to die like that. Grey's is one of my all time favorite shows. And I'd be a liar if I say I won't watch it again. But I have lost some respect for it. This was so mean and cruel. Should have been done differently.
And now for the video, I don't really like it... I think it's shown that it was made fast... It's all Lexie's POV, even the death scene. I usually don't do/like full of VO videos... but I felt like doing one this time.. and I am still not a fan, that's why I didn't really bother to fix the two little glitched... this video is kind of like this couple's ending -- a disappointment(haXD).
This is dedicated to all of Mark/Lexie fans out there, and esp to: lovekillsslowly36, whiimsy, xxmaisiebum, and ItalianRory who made some beautiful Mark/Lexie videos lately.

I don't know why I'm still watching videos of Lexie and Mark. I cry every time
Nearly 7 years on and I still think killing off Mark & Lexie was one of the worst decisions the Grey’s writers made. They could have at least given us season 8 with them together before killing them off.

So this is seriously THE most amazing Lexie&Mark video ever! So many emotions, I just can't handle it. They were ENDGAME. They were... meant to be. And now they're both dead. Nothing in this show will ever be the same without them. I feel like it's empty, something is missing. I will never get over the fact that the most adorable character ever - Lexie is dead, and now Mark... come on, Shonda Rhymes killed my happiness.
As if I wasn't already heartbroken enough that Lexie died! Great video, really sums up their relationship, good and bad. Beautiful editing and music choice, thank you so much!

Don't know why I keep watching videos about these two. I cry every time. I stopped watching after they died. I tried to stop after George died and then when Henry died but now? No. Having to say goodbye to Lexie and Mark was too much. GA lost me as a fan. I shipped these two so much.

i'm crying. lexie was my favorite and i breathe for slexie. i can't believe we won't see lexie anymore on grey's anatomy but i wanted to thank chyler for 5 years of lexie grey. she played that character better than anyone could and she made me love her so much i don't even have words. chyler's a beautiful and amazing actress and she will be missed more than anything but we have to understand she had her reasons to leave and i won't stop watching grey's cause that's not what she wants for sure!

(+) where she is dying to the one of s7 finale, when he 'lets her go' and it becomes incredibly obvious that he never could. all the voiceovers were perfect and just a perfect portrait of how troubled these two were and how they didn't want to love each other, but did regardless. also, it just reminded me of how amazing chyler leigh is and made me have ml feelings again. it hurt me haha, but in a good way i guess. thank you, gal!

OMG...this is gorgeous. The other pair of the show to me...and another reason I no longer watch. Just when I got invested in it again...boom. Just...no. So much potential just...gone. I grew to love these two so much, opposites attract...how she made him embrace the better man inside himself...how he opened her up to things she'd never known...they were "meant to be" and just.... Anyway, this is fabulous and filled with all the reasons they were so loved. Faved. ~ T

They could've at least giving her the ending she deserved, and her and Mark their reunion. They did not have one single happy moment until the very end; did she have to die to hear him say that? :( I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the dedication :')

so amazing. i feel exactly like you, i love them so much and expected the big reunion, hoped for it cause it was long time coming... they have been even more amazing than usual in the last few episodes. but when i saw the promo for the finale, i was sure they were over (but i thought they'd kill mark). the show will never be the same again. i love&miss lexie and slexie. anyway, such an epic and beautiful video!
Same like everyone else here, Mark and Lexie in the romance section kind of took a back seat to Mer&Der. I mean I loved their couple, and I would feel freak out and cry with Lexie. But now, after the season finale - I don't know what to do anymore. I couldn't stop crying when Lexie died. The entire scene was just too much for me to bare. And this video, it's amazing. Lexie didn't deserve to die, no one does. But she of all people, definitely not. She was my favorite. Little Grey, I'll miss her.

you know, watching this after knowing his fate too and how the story truly ended feels just so weird. i feel so disconnected from this pairing now, i don't like the show etc etc. but i'll always have a soft spot and watching this video proves why. when you included the scene of their first kiss with the 'am i really so bad?' line, my heart sank. and the lines from the kate&alexander storyline, which is still one of my favourite ml related things on grey's. and also how you mixed the scene (+)
this is so beautiful your editing is so amazing. Mark and Lexie were the only reason I still watched Greys at all. I am so pissed at Shonda! first she ruined izzie and alex, and now she kills lexie...ugh. She needs to pull it together. This video was so emotionally provoking and this is one of my favorite songs. gal, i decided to finally watch this and want to say it's spetacular! i'm still seriously brokenhearted, but i somehow grew to hate grey's anatomy. i mean... the show was already bad, but i was only watching for them. now there's nothing for me to hang onto anymore, hahaha. and then i thought i'd be so so sad watching this, but i realized i kind of... moved on? it was a relief. but yeah yeah, the video was fantastic, gal, you're amazing. the voiceovers, the colouring, the scene selection..

This is just a pre-watching comment, only to say that I could not agree more with everything you said in your description. After Izzie left, Lexie was officially my favourite character and mainly reason to keep watching, and I loved her journey not only this season but through the whole show. I am still in denial for her death and honesly, I think I won't be able to watch grey's again.(cont)

I want Mark to die too, because I know that if he survive we are going to lose him too, because he won't be the same anymore and that will only upset us more, so if he dies at least that way he could be with her.

Oh god. This had me crying more than the finale did. I'm so fed up with Shonda. There are ways to let people go without killing them. She pretty much lied about 'Lexie and Mark fans, have hope' for the last three seasons. I don't give a frak about Cristina and Owen or April and Jackson or .. hell, even Meredith and Derek anymore. I just don't. I'm done with Grey's, honestly. DK what I'll be watching at 9 on Thursdays anymore, but it won't be GA. Beautiful vid, though.

I'm devastated that she died, Lexie was my favourite but it doesn't sound like Chyler wanted to leave, it sounded like she had to. Shondra has said she won't say why Lexie was killed off out of respect for Chyler's privacy. That's why Chyler hasn't made any public statement. It sounds like she had something serious going on in her life that forced her to leave and if Grey's is only going for 2 more years, she probably wouldn't have been brought back anyway.

I think Shonda went with the death because fans would not have accepted Mark eventually moving on with another woman down the line when it was possible lexie could come back. After all, I know there are die hard Mark/Addison fans who hope she returns to the show.
