Communication between characters is something that REALLY needs to be improved upon in these shows. The amount of lies Golden Freddy has made is just out of whack. He may have his reasons for doing it, but there comes a point where it feels ridiculous for the sake of being ridiculous that he's hidden so much from both Freddy and GR Freddy. I guess what I'm trying to say is what's the actual reason for Golden Freddy's lies? Because it feels like there's something that he just refuses to tell.

I don't see any reason why Puppet would lie about this. We've seen past interactions this year between Puppet and Golden Freddy about their son, and how Puppet was trying to find the time, place, and work up the courage to reveal the truth to Freddy until finally telling him only recently.
To be honest, I was rewatching some of the spring trap spring Bonnie episodes and I was wondering how they were going to deal with this plot hole I thought of this exact situations wow 😃👍
