    Just going to throw this out there- his son was probably high during the polygraph test and thus wouldn't have been very nervous. Also-polygraph tests are not really admissible in court anymore... they've been proven time and again to not be very accurate.
    I think his son is involved.

    • @RachelShannon
      @RachelShannon 4 роки тому +11

      Totally agree. We know polygraphs aren’t reliable and especially while being involved with drugs, that could definitely skew the results. But the police ruled him out so maybe there was more evidence we don’t know about or maybe they just put too much emphasis on the polygraph. I’m not sure

If he was so loving n caring with his Wife maybe he didn't want her to come back home to that negativity. I also think that perhaps he was so frustrated with all the shenanigans with Max that maybe he did want to walk away for a bit and possibly hit foul play.

  • @Christinaanna5
    @Christinaanna5 4 роки тому +12

    I dont comment normally but my theory is this... Max and him got into a fight. I think Max went overboard on a night of being sick and in search of drugs. If you deduce with his last 24 hrs, max is the last person to see him, he took $600 from bank (curious if he was on video or Max with him in the car) he had future plans to pick up lori, he always came back to any circumstances that had him leave, what about his phone? Did they check that? His keys and wallet being hidden (from Max) and found... Max could truly believe he didn't do anything. Ive been in similar shoes... done and did things I dont remember and have memories that I've formed that arent real. Just saying a polygraph test is not 100% & cannot be used in court of law. I am very curious if Max went under to a sedated state if Max would say more of the truth. Or let's say he ran away, why not take more money? $600 is not going to get your far. Also lori should have seen some sort of sign. Meaning pulling away, distancing, lack of future plans, etc.. it's all speculation to me. 50 years old is not the prime time for psychological break or spike in mental illness. Some of these things might not have a deeper meaning. Wiping computer isn't so suspicious, maybe he was looking up stupid stuff, running slow or Max was. The map is bizarre but VERY TELLING. Most maps arent cheap. The odds of Robert falling into foul play with a stranger is so low but to me, you work from closest family/friends and work outwards. Overall I think Max tricked Robert into thinking he needed money and he would get clean and go on a trip. He may have said he needed some drugs and then go to rehab and go on this trip. Robert called him out on this lie once Max scored or pretended he owed someone money. Maybe friends got involved for a few bucks and it went too far
    I can only hope he got away and started new but Sometimes facts are stranger than fiction. In the end, I really hope Robert is safe and found someday. I really do! And getting his face out there will help. I think all the time how cool it would be to help solve a crime or find a missing person. The whole crime group on youtube and what a great platform to have to help make changes and give voices to those in need. Its incredible

    When max got arrested where did that happen. More on street. Thr arrest record just says Bridgeport so that would say that max his son, the day Robert went missing drove 32 miles to buy drugs and got caught by the cops and arrested for criminal trespassing. And it was mentioned that his dad had confronted the dealers before.

  • @user-rn7hr8lx9i
    @user-rn7hr8lx9i 4 роки тому +9

    I think the son, Max, had something to do with it. It may be his father but addicts will do anything for their fix and with his shady connections he probably wouldn't have a hard time getting rid of the body. I'm sorry but he seemed like a very responsible father, i find it unlikely that he just dropped his family and decided to start anew.

    • @asil7528
      @asil7528 4 роки тому +2

      As a recovered addict, nah we won't do anything for drugs. I worked to support my addiction. If someone can kill, it's because they're a piece of shit. Not because they're an addict.

    • @maebandy
      @maebandy 4 роки тому +1

      @@asil7528 I agree we are mostly avoiding confrontation and violence. I think Max owed or traded the laptops to the guys RObert had the altercation with. I think Robert said he wanted the laptops back and they said no, he said he'd call the cops and they said sure and next time Max shows up we'll give him a hotshot. So they brawled and finally Robert reasoned the only way to protect his son again short term and get his wife's laptops back was to pay them off the next day. Robert probably didn't even talk to Max on the way home because he was nodded out. The next day he goes to meet those guys gets cash, buys a map to roll the cash up in and head over there. They try to blackmail him for more money, threaten to put info or pictures or whatever was on the laptops online and Robert's frustration and anger and fear snapped. They were just prepared for this reaction probably hoped for it and it didn't go well for Robert. I feel terrible for the whole family and Max, how will he make peace with it all? Unlike most here I hope like his father did, that Max could find his way out, that would be the biggest piece to forgiving himself, by honoring what his Dad died for.

    I think Max killed him and robbed him of the cash. Max's story is sketchy - passing/failing a polygraph is meaningless since these devices are inaccurate.

    Honestly I dont really put much truth in sightings of missing persons. I have seen sooo many missing people that were "seen" in so many places then they're remains are found and its shown that they were killed the day they disappeared or a few days after. Idk I think a lot of people either mistake seeing them or want to be involved for the attention maybe. This case tho... is baffling! So many times family members say no way their loved ones ran off then find out that's exactly what happened. l usually have an opinion on cases but this one I just dont know! Also you deserve soo many more subscribers.

    Okay, as a recovering addict with 2 1/2 years clean. I ended up getting lucky and got into a methadone clinic. It’s been proven that MAT (medication assisted treatment) but people are so biased against it . I was arrested when cops found a roach and it wasn’t enough for possession so for that piece of rolling paper I got a paraphernalia charge and one year probation and $2000 in fines, court costs, probation fees, etc (oh if you can’t pay it’s a violation, more jail and fines) but first thing the PO tried doing on first visit? Violating me for having methadone in my system! They still treat addiction as a moral and self control problem you can pray away. Imagine treating mentally ill people the same as they did in end 1930s? Or why do overweight people get insulin, theirs is a choice also is it not? After spending trillions and trillions where has gotten us? There’s a video of a cop who’s daughter was an addict and he had her purposely arrested to help her but FYI it doesn’t help. She got out and ODed . The father who was a gung no narcotics officer said he thinks the entire “drug war “ is
    BS.
    Even though the judge said he wanted me to stay in treatment the PO wanted me to sign an “acknowledgement of illegal substance use” and said don’t worry you don’t have to read it.. it’s just for “their records “like yeah sure and I’m the Queen of Sheba. “ I’m not signing anything saying I did anything wrong and he threatened to hold me til I signed.
    More people died in 2016 from opioids than the entire Vietnam war. I was ejected from a car on the highway and barely survived and spent a year relearning basic tasks and was on pain meds obviously . Then the DEA started arresting doctors so one month I went to my doctor and they said that they won’t prescribe any controlled medications anymore and here’s two months of pills. Of course no docs wanted to accept anyone on them.
    Naturally, everyone got cut off went to the street. But if the DE-A solved and helped they would lose funding but the worse it gets the mods money they receive. Same with prisons, jails, county.

    Yay! A video from you! I actually saw a disappeared episode about this about a year ago....Ok so I'm only 8:37 in but my guess right off is maybe Max knows more n maybe got caught up in some shit with his dealers or something happened to his dad cause of it or Robert denied cash for Max to get "well"/fix and something transpired that way 🤷‍♀️ I'll edit at end to give a more educated guess lol

    The map was to wrap the 600 in. He couldn't be seen handing a drug dealer a wad of cash even if it was to pay off his sons debt. His car would have been hot from Max using it and under surveillance, wonder if vice had more info about that day when (small if) he met up.with them. He was trying to save his son and that will be very hard for Max. Loving an addict child is the most painful kind of love and his Dad wasn't running. He was a good man.

    I think you should put black and white pictures of the city (any city) people walking around in nature, possibly throughout the years. Anyways I wanted to let you know my mom and I only began watching you about a week ago. I think there’s a lot of evidence to support the Appalachian trail, especially given that he didn’t take much money. You’re not really going to need tons of money while hiking/camping like that. There are ALOT of people that hike that trail.. and a lot of them are very social when you cross paths with them. They’re not going be necessarily up to date with the news or social media. I bet you anything he’s on that trail somewhere or met people along the way that live remotely.

    There has to be some reason he wiped his computer before the issues with Max. He had something going on and had a gf n they wrote to each other on the computer. I think he went to live her!
