Merry Christmas my friend! I tuned into your channel this year and love it! You also helped me answer a question a my railfanning started in Japan and expanded to Europe. I guess I don’t need to change my YT or IG handle! And in terms of books/anime I recommend Railwars
I thank you for your answers. It's a real shame people are point fingers at our railways and saying AAAGH IT SO HORRIBLE, I think they have potential...we just need some people who are really passionate in rail travel to make it more similar to that of our neighbours. I'd love to see Eurostar serve the neglected northern half of England via HS2 and of course some classic lines to get to the likes of Scotland and Wales, as that'll further give the UK more options of getting to the European Mainland without having to just start the journey from London St Pancras. If we can find a way of squeezing the Eurostar into the timetable without causing a fuss with domestic services and if we put the right infrastructure in, I think it will be perfect...heck maybe even the Scottish and Cornish sleeper trains might either have a connection with the Eurosleeper (or whatever it's called) service from the mainland or perhaps be extended beyond London if we can find a station where they can split/join up. Possibilities are endless! Anyways, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your families!
@@ABTrainsYT I’d love to see a direct loco-hauled service from Hull via York, Leeds, Manchester Victoria, Chester to Holyhead, timed to connect with the ferry check-in times to Dublin on both Irish Ferries and Stena and the ferry arrivals from Dublin - at Hull or another North Sea port, it would connect with the ferries to Europe in a similar way
I’m disappointed you’re not coming to the USA. We lack the speed and frequency of many countries but people from all over the world praise Amtrak comfort, leg room and scenery. There are also tourist railways running through stunning scenery while offering amazing rail adventures. I've traveled all over Switzerland on narrow gauge trains and nothing I saw was any more spectacular than railroading through the Colorado and Candadian Rockies.
I'm sure that's true Sam, however they are so well covered elsewhere and can be a gamble for the channel... I'd much rather concentrate on lesser covered places and show them off to the world. Happy Christmas to you 🎄

Great video. If you thought the Copper Canyon views were great, wait until your Beijing-Ulaanbatar adventure. The first part between Beijing (once you leave the urban sprawl) and before you arrive into Datong is simply beautiful as you pass along the Yongding river gorge.
Thanks Scott! We made this trip a few months ago and took the high-speed line from Beijing to Hohhot so we didn't go via Datong. In some ways it's a shame that the classic lines aren't really used anymore 😔
What is the longest distance passenger train journey? That is: point to point distance "as the crow flies" that is served by passenger trains (mostly uninterrupted, except for walking distance), for the entire trip? Maybe something like Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City to Aberdeen, Scotland, for example. Or: limited to a single continent: Quito, Ecuador to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Capetown, South Africa to Alexandria, Egypt.
@@NonstopEurotripIt's a special full-service trip, including a dining session as part of the KAI Wisata tourist train. Using the Priority and Imperial class carriage for the entire train set. But I don't think it's run on a regular schedule, only from 19 December to 5 January 2025.

Great video and thanks for answering my questions. Talking about Railway in Bali, for Intercity it's a bit impossible, currently there's a plan to built LRT around Denpasar area (if government didn't plan to hold any infrastructure project). Also there's plan to built Highways/Expressway at Bali Island, but looks like it's on hold since it's only plan not constructing at current time. So in current time after you disembark at Ketapang Station, crossing the road and you have two option: first is walking to the ferry, and take a bus or shuttle car to Denpasar or waiting for Intercity Busses to Denpasar (not all but usually they stopped before entering the Ferry port).
@NonstopEurotrip I don't know how to say it, but in Bali, building anything must respect the local culture, for example the building must not taller than nearby temple or you should built the temple at the rooftop of that building. Also you can't build a bridge between Java and Bali due to sea relief at Bali Straits and the local culture.
In 2025, I’d love to see you doing videos of all SailRail travel options between the U.K. and Ireland, with a view to highlighting aspects of the current SailRail product offerings that could be improved upon and enhanced to make SailRail a much more viable, cheaper, convenient and more sustainable alternative to flying and air travel, presented in a video format that could be presented to the rail and government regulators and the “powers that be” in the rail and ferry industries alike, focusing on foot passenger only SailRail travel, detailing your findings - I’d also like to see you exploring the Irish railways, especially in the beautiful West of Ireland, given the Irish government’s investment programme and covering Irish railway history

congrats on the new chapter in your journey (the website!) I just bounced over and it looks like a source of lots of good planning info for the future! (and send me prizes)
Huh, I should have actually asked something myself. When you travel, how do you navigate language situations? I would suppose that on the smaller/more rural areas, you probably will not be able to communicate much without some local language knowledge.
I always try and learn a few worlds even if it's just hello, please, thank you etc but I always have the language downloaded in to Google translate on my phone too so I can use it offline.
@Nonstop Eurotrip I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy 2025 with many new travel video's to new country's and country's you go back to. I loved every video including your review of the NS ICNG wich at that time ran on the Intercity Direct route from Amsterdam Centraal to Breda via Schiphol Airport and Rotterdam Centraal but now from December 15th the ICNG-B EMU's build to run in The Netherlands and Belgium and wich are in the NS Flow livery together with BR186 and ICRmh carriages from Lelystad Centrum/Amsterdam Zuid to Brussel Zuid/Midi via Almere Centrum, Amsterdam Zuid and of course via Schiphol Airport, Rotterdam Centraal but then they only stop at Antwerpen Centraal before continuing to Brussel Zuid/Midi under the new Eurocity Direct brand wich makes this actually the faster IC Brussel while also running the IC Direct service from Breda to now Amersfoort Schothorst and BR186 runs now also with NMBS I11 carriages the new Eurocity service between Rotterdam Centraal and Brussel Zuid/Midi and this service took over the stations from the IC Brussel wich makes this actually the slower IC Brussel stopping at Breda,Noordedekempen,Antwerpen Centraal, Antwerpen Berchem, Mechelen,Brussels Airport-Zaventem,Brussel Noord and Brussel Centraal to Brussel Zuid 😅

Thanks so much 😊
I certainly want one of those prizes! I usually don't comment on your videos, as I'm just happy to watch, but thanks for the information and insight you give on train travel around the world, not just Europe. Happy Christmas 🎄 and best wishes for 2025!
Thanks for your inaugural comment then 😂 and happy Christmas too 🎅🏻
To win would be nice!
Your early European trips have inspired me to travel and I'm finally going to Interrail in March 2023 (at the age of 69!).
Love the long distance trips.
That's great to hear, have an amazing time 🤩
Come to Australia and do the Indian Pacific and the Ghan. I have done both pricey but worth it.
Not on my radar at the moment tbh
congrats on the new chapter in your journey (the website!) I just bounced over and it looks like a source of lots of good planning info for the future! (and send me prizes)
Awesome! Thank you! 🙏🏻
Thank you 🙏🏻🎄

Lovely video once again and thanks for answering all those questions. I've used so many of your videos whilst planning for Interrail trips throughout Europe - or just to get as hyped as possible. And yeah, I'd love to win a price! A mug for my next 4 week trip in April or a luggage sticker would be awesome🥰
That's great to hear, thanks! And you're entered ✅
I want to win! My fav book featuring trains is Dracula that features the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway, the LNER (the real one) and trains between Exeter and London all in the background of the greatest gothic horror story ever. I lived near the LTS for many years, travel on the LNER (the new one) regularly now and studied at the University of Exeter for 3 years so am familiar with all those lines and companies. My fav movie featuring a train is Planes, Trains and Automobiles of course.
Thanks for sharing! 😌🙏🏻
Lets see if I win!
🤞🏻
