Spot on with the jump pack! I see so many shops or mobile fleets with those big box jump packs and don't get me wrong they are great but those small compact jump packs do amazing I've used them on 12/24 volt systems on the civilian side and in the military(my own personal jump pack). You can get them with lights, USB ports, and solar chargers they are great. 10/10 would recommend, also if you ever can get portable hydraulic car lifts, absolutely fantastic and will fit in your little van! Also a van canopy for outside and then you out a camper van ac on the roof and you leave the sliding door open roll a car up under the canopy and you have cool air, access to everything, you have a legitimate mobile garage!

Full set of shallow & deeps I went from the auto shop to a mobile setup in the past . I used a 1985 Kurbmaster box truck, 4 cylinder Cummings diesel, bulldog gear, turbo boost. But I sold it and changed things up since then. Keep pushing on man.
You need a bigger toolbox and some better organization I don’t think that Cart is good for what you use it for. Should have gotten the single bank cart or maybe the 28” ridged mobile job box with a couple smaller boxes to lock on top. Or one of the us general top boxes the 44” dual bank or 26” single banks I think those would have been cheaper and given you more storage options. Probably have gotten both for the price of a new five drawer cart
Bought all junk sockets, but spent 300 on a Snap On flashlight! I am Mobile mechanic, no way I would make a living using junk sockets , and 1000 dollars worth of flashlights! Have you ever considered tool organizers? Man what a mess, how long does it take you to find tools to do a job? Harbor Frieght is ok for Jacks! Pittsburgh is junk! Man, at least you have Milwaukee!

so how do go to the customer and not have a crane a welder or a torch to fix stuff are they supposed to take it to you or can you actually do all the work in your creepy ice cream truck

I have the same van in the UK, they are sold as a Fiat Doblo or a Vauxhall Combo with a 1.6 diesel engine, they are a good little workhorse!

How hard was it to form the business itself.
The hardest part is to be patient. It slowly start getting busy every week. I used to work on 2-5 cars a week.
Now I work on 20-30 cars a week
