Extremely helpfull video, explaining these adv. settings.. the right way to go, let as much as possible be accesable to the end-user and make a video explaning what the different things do, as people can always just reset it back to scratch. Very impressed with both TinySA and Ultra, and how featurepack and and adjustable they are, for a spectrum SA tool in this pricebracket. you certainly did your homework. I hope you keep moving forward, as I really like the products your making.
Erik, This is not relevant to the tinySA but I have been going crazy trying to find a source for a case for the nanoVNA. Can you point me in the right direction. When I bought the unit the pic showed it in a case but when it arrived it didn't have one. Btw, great video. Before I retired I was an RF engineer for a defense contractor and have used all brands of network analyzers. The last one I got to use was an Agilent (now Keysight) PNA. I really loved that device. They had some nice HP spectrum analyzers as well. Given my experience with them I had low expectations for the nanoVNA and the tinySA but to my surprise they exceeded my expectations. Value way beyond their price. I am an amateur radio operator (N1ABE) and I intend to use these devices for filter and antenna design at 6M and above. Even though I'm experienced with spectrum analyzers it was worthwhile watching your video to learn how to navigate through the different menu screens.
Hi Erik, thanks for the video. In this video, there was an explanation about how to measure the performance of the bpf (band pass filter) in the config menu. Is this filter used manually in the frequency menu in Tinysa? Are we choosing bpf with start, stop and center options?
The BPF is the internal PBF, just like a heterodyne radio does have an IF BPF. There are some youtube video's that explain the internal architecture of the tinySA. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/uiTrCUNRUIA/v-deo.html
I have updated my firmware. I don't have the actual power setting??my version is v0.3.1 el if that helps.Toclear the config it asks for unlock code???How do I calibrate this one??to get to the expert config . I have to select config then more then expert config..I have no setting for actual power
Hi Erik, I just got my TinySA today, and when I ran the self test, 1,2,5 and 8 show Above Critical, while 3,4,7 and 10 show Signal Level Fail. 6 and 8 show Pass. Do I have a problem?
Hi Erik,
Waiting for mine, superb gear, nice and instructive videos.
But please use your camera in manual focus
Thanks and best regards.

Nevermind. I ran the calibrate again, and then the selftest showed all test passed.

I'm not aware of anyone selling just the nanoVNA case. Suggest you join the nanoVNA mailing list and ask there. See: groups.io/g/nanovna-users
