This is an original ambient track called "Dead Mines", made for Hypixel's Skyblock game on the Hypixel Minecraft Server. It is the song that plays in the Glacite Mineshafts, a location accessible in the Glacite Tunnels update. Hope you enjoy!

This track is very interesting because it feels as if the worlds telling you “yep this is perfectly normal with nothing out of the ordinary” but at the same time your brain is screaming at you saying “something’s very wrong here”

Now that you mention it… it would be pretty interesting if they are connected. I remember it says on some item’s lore that “those few unlucky enough to find the source of Glacite have not lived to tell of it”. Perhaps both the cave in the Rift and the Glacite Tunnels have the same source of their permafrost state?

I thought that the reason why the bottom of the living cave is so cold is because of a lack of movement (y'know, cuz heat is the kinetic energy of particles?)
I mean, it's even called the "living stillness"
But it would be cool if the living cave was a rift breach of the glacite tunnels' permafrost!

I think the coolest thing about all these songs is the fact that you can make beautiful music with nothing but Minecraft sounds. But the second coolest thing is the motifs you hear from all the other places and songs in skyblock. The third coolest thing is the moods these songs convey. It’s like he does it perfectly. The inside volcano is a fishing area and the music is slow and relaxed but it’s still lava and fire so it isn’t too peaceful. And then the dungeon boss themes are just like perfect because it feels really energetic and fitting because it’s a boss fight. Then like this song conveys like a very complicated mood, sort of like in the movies when the main character ends up somewhere weird and everything seems normal but at the same time it’s like “something’s very wrong here”
