BBC Sport's musical montages (especially the World Cup ones) are legendary and this closing montage for the Final of the FIFA World Cup 2014 is another masterpiece. Here is the full length HD version exactly as how it was broadcast on BBC1 in the UK on Sunday, 13th July 2014. Also included is a short video promoting the upcoming new season of football on the BBC.

All the stars performed at this World cup in the group stage - Arjen Robben, van persie, Ozil, Neymar, . . The goal keeping was astonishing (Ochoa, Navas, Tim Howard, Neuer) . . Every game had drama . . And it was the last Tourrnament before social media took over and a moment could sink in and last before it disappeared into the algorithm . . Long Live 2014 ! 🇩🇪

I remember it being used for Sky’s EFL72 live intro’s. They should use it again for the Premier League ones again. The current one is meh.
This may be the best thing BBC has ever made. Spectacular!!! I love every second of this video. I could probably watch a 90min version. Incredible dancers, perfect music, tremendous editing and the glorious moments of the world's biggest stage all blended together into a purely beautiful work of art.

Just seen this for the first time and a great montage but qatar world cup 2022 montage is probably better and Messi won the world cup!
Unforgettable moments. The best World Cup in the history. You can see the goosebumps and full energy of the people together here. Brazil had shown how to do a party. All the doubts, concerns, problems, complains fall down! The Olympics are coming up.
To be honest, the doubts and concerns were about the amount of money being spent on a world cup when the country's infrastructure is a mess and workers were being exploited

Roughly 8 years later, and I still think about this montage occasionally. The 2014 World Cup is my favorite (2022 comes close), and this video was the perfect way to capture its greatness. It also made me a fan of Woodkid, lmao. Too bad that the original video was taken down by BBC (probably to stop paying royalties to Woodkid). They shouldn't have done that though, as it was a masterpiece. Then again, thank you to this channel for uploading it 😉. I sure hope that the creator of this montage got paid nicely by BBC.

You are kidding. Mexico 86, Argentina '78 and Espana 82 recognized as the greatest tournaments. Italia 90 great memories, locations, atmospheres, fans, three tenors but a lot of dull matches in that one.

Brazil being hosts and huge favourites...the belief was that nobody should turn up and simply give the trophy to them. They showed great promise the previous year winning the confererations cup beating world and 2 times European champions Spain 3-0 in the final... but Germany exposed the nervousness and unease the Brazilians had hidden from their opponents by beating them 7-1... in the semis. The Brazilian collapse was similar to their collapse in the final at France 98. This was also to be the year of Messi and Argentina had Brazil failed to get gold....but like Brazil they failed to stop the Germans who beat them 1-0 just like they did in Italia 90.
