I worked at the Georgia Aquarium as an educator in 2021. Zelie is one of the many special people who work there. She’s educated, helpful, and a great person to be around.
This aquarium single handedly got me into marine biology. I live in Atlanta and went here just for the fun of it, but left with such a huge love for marine life that I almost immediately got my schooling started for it. Really is a beautiful and informative place.
@AllenWoodman Yes many perks. You earn free ticket. Plus can earn free encounters. There was a list of aquariums that if set up,you could visit for free.
Amazing! Zelie is actually my aunt and she’s been working there for years now. Recently she’s been off growing coral with a team. It’s so cool to see her here :)
Love this aquarium and would take any chance I could to go see it. It does seem like a rather short tour/video for the largest aquarium in the US though.
in 5th grade we took a really cool overnight field trip to that aquarium!!! we got to sleep under the glass tunnel and even got to go in the back and see a whale shark too it was truly the most fun experience ive ever had.
Love your work! Showing us all the aquarium around the world and different species of fish for people like me who cant travel yet. Been a fan for 6 years now! More power!
Dude this was amazing. Would love to see this place eventually but you getting behind the scenes and hearing from the people who make this all happen is so cool. 11/10!
I have been subscribed for about 3 years now and I am so impressed with the growth of this channel! The production quality is absolutely incredible. Love it George!
The Georgia Aquarium is one of my favourites in the world right now, it's my dream to go!! 😍 I wish you had shown the Ocean Voyager open ocean exhibit, that's the largest open ocean exhibit in all of North America, with over 6 million gallons of water and 4 whale sharks!
Hi! I live near the GA Aquarium: It is a genuinely magical experience. Ocean Voyager has always been one of my favorites. They used to have Sawfish there, but they don't have them anymore.
Fabulous, The Georgia Aquarium is amazing, and this lady has every right to be proud. George, great vlog and really want to Thank you for taking us along.
i absolutely adore the georgia aquarium!! its definitely fun to go during the week instead of weekends and holidays to avoid crowds and you tend to meet workers who have more experience and can answer a few questions about the animals. also avoid the cafeteria at all costs
I agree! Week > Weekends. The membership is the best, lets you visit any time for free Also why is the Cafeteria so bad? cafe Aquaria or whatever sells a ton of stuff, and the food tasted fine.
I salute you guys! That restoration work (particularly coral) is still make or break it for ecosystems. This coming from a former aquarium employee. Also cudos to the divers, doing it as volunteers at that.
Love the Georgia Aquarium! They have an entire freshwater section in addition to their reef tank where they keep tetras, rasboras, cories etc.! For some reason I find it absolutely thrilling to see species you can find in an LFS kept on display in a public facility. Oh, and they also have a HUGE koi pond in their main room!
That was an awesome exclusive! I visited the Georgia Aquarium and my mind was Blow especially by the reef tank with the naturel wave flow! that's so cool you got a behind the scenes and yes that is the biggest protien skimmer ever!!!
Loved coming here, especially peaking through the door to see the folks getting a VIP look of the massive ocean tank with the whale sharks. The wavy barrier reef aquarium was cool too
I went to the Georgia aquarium when I was 7 years old I’m 17 now, but man I still remember it like it was yesterday, it was exciting being there I loved everything about it man I remember the dolphin show it was crazy! But man after that fun and exciting day the nap I took once we got home was one of the best naps ever lol, but man this aquarium rocks.
I love here in Atlanta, so I've had the pleasure of going to the Georgia Aquarium quite a few times. Every time it amazes. I always notice something new. I dream of working here.
Living in Florida, I've never made the trip to see this aquarium. I've heard amazing things about it and this confirms what I've heard. I definitely will be going. Can't wait to see the footage of the Florida Aquarium. It is 20 minutes from my office.
We went yesterday with 2 eight year olds in tow. It was amazing. The Beluga whales were my fav. They are so fun to watch and seem to play with you. We stayed 4 hours and still didn't see everything. I hope to go back.
I dove as a volunteer at the South Carolina Aquarium for a couple of years. I would love to dive the Georgia Aquarium. Thank you for the behind the scenes tour.
I wish you were able to show much more of the aquarium. What was shown was a snippet of the aquarium. Highly recommend if anyone has the opportunity to visit, I highly suggest you do.
It's on my bucket list, unfortunately I'm getting closer to the bucket. I've watched all the video's and live cam's of the aquarium. Thanks for sharing.
The fact that when you asked her what her favorite fish was and she instantly knew and actually had one was so cute. You can tell she doesn't do it for the money. She loves those little fish lol
I live in ATL, and I adore this aquarium! A word of advice though - get there right when it opens. Even for its size, it gets amazingly crowded and very loud, so please go early!
Thank you so much to share us so much tour in the world. I believe George Aquarium is no more the largest in the world but they still the best to go place for everyone. They own the larger tank in the world.

aye , my backyard. having it so nearby accessible, one tends to forget just how big the GA aquarium is
I'm jealous!
Love this aquarium and would take any chance I could to go see it. It does seem like a rather short tour/video for the largest aquarium in the US though.
I've been several times and to say it is breathtaking and memorizing is an understatement!! I hope you get the chance to visit one day!
He definitely didn't show all the aquariums in this video. This isn't even their largest aquarium that one is ridiculous.
@@keganjensen2605 You're right! I wish it was a full tour so everyone could see.
11 minutes can't cover anything that is the best! Not even gonna have my time wasted, AKA? Watch it! Come on George! WTF???
They also have a new shark exhibit which I don’t think was talked about a lot
in 5th grade we took a really cool overnight field trip to that aquarium!!! we got to sleep under the glass tunnel and even got to go in the back and see a whale shark too it was truly the most fun experience ive ever had.

The fact that when you asked her what her favorite fish was and she instantly knew and actually had one was so cute. You can tell she doesn't do it for the money. She loves those little fish lol
She undoubtedly gets asked that about as much as astronauts get asked how they poop in space. xD
We were there years ago, watching the 4 whale sharks was mesmerizing. Sat for hours. Absolutely heartbreaking when the one died 💔
I’ve always loved the vlogs, great video George!
I live in ATL, and I adore this aquarium! A word of advice though - get there right when it opens. Even for its size, it gets amazingly crowded and very loud, so please go early!
The diver aquascaping had really innocent eyes. Good vibe from him
Love the behind the scene. Awesome!❤
Thank you so much to share us so much tour in the world. I believe George Aquarium is no more the largest in the world but they still the best to go place for everyone. They own the larger tank in the world.
Cannot believe that dude works for free cleaning the tanks. They are very lucky to have him.
The wave is a mint idea, wondered why the tank was shaped the way it was
