That’s a fact for me. I met Paco in 89 when he was a bouncer/security for an underground club in Hollywood. I was walking in and he’s at the door and I said wait weren’t you in Bloodsport? He said yes that’s me. He was a cool and humble dude. I asked him what his nationality was, and he said he was Italian, Portuguese, Puerto Rican and Cuban, that’s what I recall, and it blew me away. So instead of going in the club where celebrities hung out, I stayed out there with him. Highlight of my life.
What makes this movie great is the simplicity of it. Guy just wants to win the Kumite for his sensei. The antagonist doesn't have this over this top ambition, the main character isn't wrestling with some sort of inner turmoil, the love interest doesn't stab main character in the back or add unnecessary drama. Good times.

It was funny to see the kick to side of body challenge it had a particular set and rhythm watch if you play back with particular style of focuses you see more that was already there.
