I can't express all the empathy I'm feeling for you and your family! I'm so glad you were able to see your grandparents, especially granddad and you got to have a good conversation with him!
So important for you to allow yourself to feel the feelings. Such a difficult balance, you've got a lot going on so I'm glad you are giving yourself the grace and space to process. I so appreciate you sharing your grief process as you share your life with us. You feel what you feel. It’s so helpful for others to see it’s okay to feel what you feel and it’s okay to talk about it.
I'm so sorry about your grandpa. Mine passed away last year just before my first child was born at age 90. Knowing it was coming and knowing he lived a nice long life didn't make me feel a whole lot better, especially since I wanted my daughter to be able to meet him. Now I feel lucky to have had so much time with him, and I look forward to telling my babies about him someday. You have my deepest empathy ❤️
So sorry you and your family are going through this. I remember finding out my grandpa had colon cancer on my 11th birthday. We were told he had a month to live. My grandpa passed exactly 1 month later. That was 40 years ago and I still think about all of the fun we used to have. I feel grief doesn’t go away it just changes as we process through it. Hugs.

Hello, I’m very sorry to hear of your grandfathers illness. My grandfather also sick with Pancreatic cancer. I’m so glad you got to spend time with him and say the things you wanted. Praying for you, family and your grandfather.

I am so sorry your family is grieving your grandfather. At least you got to have the conversation and say the things you needed to, and he did as well. That is something I know you will cherish forever. I am praying that he gets to say everything to everyone he wants to and that your family finds peace. Cancer sucks (we have had a ton of it in my family.)!
Taylor. My friend please know that I am praying for you and your family. Please, never apologies for expressing your feelings. They are valid. Do what you need to do to get through this process. Even though I don't envy you for what you and your family are going through, I do envy your strength and willingness to share. I'm also envious of the fact that you're documenting all of this. I went through the same thing with my Grandpa several years ago and I wish that I had been planning back then, able to write down the highs and the lows and remember it all. ♥
I’ve gone back and forth on how much to share. But I share it all! I know people can relate. I’m still working on being so open on IG though!
So sorry to hear about your granddad. I just wanted to say your feelings are valid. I lost my dad to cancer last year and I def went thru all the feels. I know it’s hard right now but try to think of all the time you have had with him. I’d be lying if I said a yr later I wasn’t still struggling with things but remembering how lucky I was to have as much time as I did with him does help some ❤
Oh Taylor. I’m so very sorry. I will admit to being jealous of this incredible family weekend. When we found out about my Dads imminent death - he wasn’t in a place where that type of cathartic sharing happened.
I will include your entire family in our prayers - focusing on your Grandmother especially. What a tragic loss for y’all and the world at large.
