I'll never forget seeing Matt walk down the alley at Southpoint for the 2024 Run for the Million. Chaps slung over his shoulder. Walking alone. Matt's run did not qualify for $. We were the only ones in the tunnel. He was looking down and when he walked by I said, "Great run." He looked up with a humble smile and said, "Thank you."

You are an amazing horseman. What makes you stand out amongst your peers is your sincerity & being humble. The American really was a benchmark opportunity for you. Keep teaching for the stars.

I always thought you was from Compton because everyone I know who knows you are from that area even my friend from Ohio. Actually he is from that area. I show on the TWH circuit. People think I am from the country, I am actually from the city just always loved riding and being around horses. I have been riding since I was five but not because of any of my parents.

I remember going to Griffeth Park with my neighbor and watching her little girl riding the pony . It was not your typical nose to tail ride. I am sure she was scared spitless, but it was fun to watch.

Thank You for your continued encouragement no matter where each of us is in our journey. I’ve loved watching all of your great videos. I think you and Karen make a wbonderful couple! You have fun together, work hard together, and can tease each other at times.

Still hate that low headset and the lack of animation in reining horses. Most of them in the arena look totally shutdown. Reining is the worst for injuries after racing! Some serious abuse in the industry that has to be addressed.

Well said. Horses suffer daily for man’s “sport”😢

Most people nowadays don't allow any abuse. Some of these horses actually naturally keep their heads low like that too. You'll see it when they are free in the pasture and start loping around. There are bad folks in every single thing in this world and if you focus on it then an entire industry will seem bad when it's not. The horse world is full of people that take better care of their horses than themselves and horsemanship is becoming more of a focus now than ever.
