Well, not quite. The OP simply has two versions: Pre-Izuru and Post-Izuru. Episodes 1 - 5, when Hajime is still Hajime, is the first version, where Izuru is still clearly visible, and the colours are all cheerful. Other little things are the "Hello, Hope's Peak High School?" and the flowers around it. In the first version, there is a '?', and the flowers are white. In the second version, starting from Episode 6, *After* Hajime becomes Izuru, to the end (well, not 11, 11 has no OP), the colours start fading or inverting, Hajime becomes fuzzy and fading. Additionally, there is only "Hello, Hope's Peak High School", no '?' this time, and the flowers are faded/wilted. So it's less a progressive thing and more just two versions. Nice spot though, I didn't notice at all. Bonus: In Episode 1, Chiaki isn't actually drawn in. It's just a silhouette, since she isn't introduced until the end of the episode/ hasn't really connected with her class yet. Such a minor detail but still holds such meaning. Most people wouldn't notice that on a first-time binge.

Future Arc's ending is so damn symbolic..... Naegi holding a flower (hope) getting burried in all those petals (despair) he kneels in pain and despair, the flower he's holding keeps losing petals... and then he rises again, flower damaged yet alive.
The flower he is holding is hope then the petals are hope as well, not despair. That was the whole point of this third killing game right? Hope vs hope.

I feel that way plus extra because when these episodes were coming out and I'd watch them, I'd be in school fucking off in class with my friends watching the new episodes.
While Danganronpa 3 is the end of this current storyline, I hope it isn't the end of times we have with these characters. I don't think any of us want to let go of them. What I call, the Persona 4 Syndrome.

I'm theorizing the meanings behind these openings/endings. Since most people are curious. *Spoilers* Future Arc Opening The red things around their wrists symbolizes the forbidden action bracelets. Of course most of you may know that. However there is also a scene were they're all fallings, this symbolizes the DR3 cast falling into despair were most of them are at the bottom. Makoto stays at the top as he tries to bring everyone together. Which is the scene where Makoto grasps Kyoko's arm to bring her away from Despair. Future Arc Ending In this ending, a daisy is seeming to be losing it's petals. In Danganronpa daisies represent hope this is seen many times. Makoto is soon covered by the falling petals (Despair) but he rises up again. Meaning hope will never lose. Despair Arc Opening This has a huge pastel aesthetic touch to it. As again, daisies appear in this. In an alternative version the daises are black. Meaning hope is gone. But also remember that *Hello Hopes Peak Academy?* I have thought it's Junko or Nanami. I'm not certain though. The way their placed is a reference to their Offical Art. Then my favorite scene, where Junko blows the remnants except Nanami is so heartwarming to see them lose trust and fall into despair. And the red eyes and Hinata glitching and Nanami smiling. It symbolizes so much. Despair Arc Ending Nagito Komeada (Megumi Ogata) sings this as we all know. Since Komeada is a hope related person. In here it shows their trust, as friends. With their amazing moments. When the memories form Nanami this shows a sign that *Hope Lives On* but if we remember what Yukizome said. About a hope filled story turning into a despair inducing one, really resembles lying. -NDRV3 vibes anyone?- I need to stop typing long paragraphs oml
Its not an alternate version tho, the opening just get more darker and creepy looking every episode (which symbolizes their approach to despair, which i find to be very awesome)
Favorite imagery is definitely Junko holding the hope of the world in her hands and blowing on them like a dandelion, then watching them falling and leaving a streak of black as they fall. Gave me chills the first time
Snipper Joey Gozu commited suicide and somehow got between "tubes",the chains in the op are representing those tubes and how he got tied into the despair of death
They all fit their respective arcs although personally I like the graver tone from the Future OP and ED because by this point of the series we know shit has gone up to the creek, so hearing such happy go lucky tunes is kind of weird after so many deaths in the series. That is also why the writer ended the Hope's Peak story with the anime, because the story had already ran it's course (also because the story of Mirai-hen would no longer be Danganronpa, but Zero Escape).
Who else still comes back to watch these in 2017? I myself am having a nostalgic throwback to when it was airing, Danganronpa is still my favorite series there is.

when i first saw danganronpa 3's ops and saw naegi shooting himself with the pistol i thought that was badass... before i realized that since he was my favorite character i was worried that symbolized him commiting suicide in the anime which caused me to literally cry for a few hours while watching the show... i also cried cause i didnt want any one to die... though seriously i was so scared cause i thought naegi was gonna die this season

While Danganronpa 3 is the end of this current storyline, I hope it isn't the end of times we have with these characters. I don't think any of us want to let go of them.

I'm theorizing the meanings behind these openings/endings. Since most people are curious.
*Spoilers*
Future Arc Opening
The red things around their wrists symbolizes the forbidden action bracelets. Of course most of you may know that. However there is also a scene were they're all fallings, this symbolizes the DR3 cast falling into despair were most of them are at the bottom. Makoto stays at the top as he tries to bring everyone together. Which is the scene where Makoto grasps Kyoko's arm to bring her away from Despair.
Future Arc Ending
In this ending, a daisy is seeming to be losing it's petals. In Danganronpa daisies represent hope this is seen many times. Makoto is soon covered by the falling petals (Despair) but he rises up again. Meaning hope will never lose.
Despair Arc Opening
This has a huge pastel aesthetic touch to it. As again, daisies appear in this. In an alternative version the daises are black. Meaning hope is gone. But also remember that *Hello Hopes Peak Academy?* I have thought it's Junko or Nanami. I'm not certain though. The way their placed is a reference to their Offical Art. Then my favorite scene, where Junko blows the remnants except Nanami is so heartwarming to see them lose trust and fall into despair. And the red eyes and Hinata glitching and Nanami smiling. It symbolizes so much.
Despair Arc Ending
Nagito Komeada (Megumi Ogata) sings this as we all know. Since Komeada is a hope related person. In here it shows their trust, as friends. With their amazing moments. When the memories form Nanami this shows a sign that *Hope Lives On* but if we remember what Yukizome said. About a hope filled story turning into a despair inducing one, really resembles lying. -NDRV3 vibes anyone?-

Its not an alternate version tho, the opening just get more darker and creepy looking every episode (which symbolizes their approach to despair, which i find to be very awesome)
Favorite imagery is definitely Junko holding the hope of the world in her hands and blowing on them like a dandelion, then watching them falling and leaving a streak of black as they fall. Gave me chills the first time

Despair ending is the best imo, although I'm starting to like a lot more the Future opening than before.
All Powerful God Enel Future Ending is best for me, followed by Despair Opening.
They all fit their respective arcs although personally I like the graver tone from the Future OP and ED because by this point of the series we know shit has gone up to the creek, so hearing such happy go lucky tunes is kind of weird after so many deaths in the series. That is also why the writer ended the Hope's Peak story with the anime, because the story had already ran it's course (also because the story of Mirai-hen would no longer be Danganronpa, but Zero Escape).

when i first saw danganronpa 3's ops and saw naegi shooting himself with the pistol i thought that was badass... before i realized that since he was my favorite character i was worried that symbolized him commiting suicide in the anime which caused me to literally cry for a few hours while watching the show... i also cried cause i didnt want any one to die... though seriously i was so scared cause i thought naegi was gonna die this season
