How do you go about finding T1, T2, etc... Since those values are not a part of the equation?

Around 6:45, you wrote the same ambient temperature on both ends of the circuit. The right side should be T_inf,2. But you wrote it down write for q = T_inf,2 - T_inf,1 / R_tot
