it still amazes me that the Conne's are gen 3 compared to some of the other gen 3's xD
Question about the new Friesians... Are we certain they won't be Jorvik Friesians? Because actual Friesians are almost always black, very rarely chestnut (but those aren't accepted in the stud book), don't come in any other colors, and don't have white markings (stars I believe are accepted). I don't think Star Stable will limit the coat options like that again so I'm guessing they'll be updated Jorvik Friesians. Or perhaps they'll also release a new batch of Friesian Sporthorses for color.
I scrolled on their post and someone asked something similar and this is what star stable replied “they will be treated as a separate breed so those who love their gen 3 Jorvick Friesians can still enjoy them”

Friesians dont have grey. They only have black, chestnut, sooty and flaxen. But only Black with as much as a 3cm star is accepted. Agouti used to be in the breed tho but they breed it out so Friesians dont have bay anymore
They might do what they did with appy. They’ll make them traditional in coats before they were bred to be all black.
i'm definitely very excited for the american saddlebreds, as i used to ride them. they're a very graceful breed, and i feel bad for them because they don't get to express their talents within saddle seat. it's not their fault they get a bad rap.

Im very excited for all of them really Im just happy Star Stable is listening to us Hopefully this time I love the fact theirs more coat variations especially Pinto , Tobaino, Overo, Sabino, Splashed and Tovero are what I adore in a horse.
with existing gen1 horses still being available im baffled as to why they're still being sold when they want to update new horses..
One of my fave breeds of horse is a Drum Horse and I think they should add that.

lol I’ve been working on a video about this too! I think the Lipizzaner will be a chestnut and maybe a pinto (pinto used to be accepted but not anymore) and the warmbloods probably pinto also since that’s accepted.
The Hanovarian is one of their best gen 2 horses! I am so excited to see how it will be updated :O

More than anything I really just want them to fix the western saddles... There is literally only one newer model western saddle that is the correct size, and I'm kind of tired of looking at it after using it exclusively on both of my accounts for months lol.
I know they overdoing with the warmbloods but i thought Orlov Trotter would be nice with all the dapples and long legs.

Ngl Im getting tired of the Warmblood updates, they are so similar. We need updated more unique breeds like Fjord horse and Knabstrupper. Also Lusitano and Akhal-Teke would be nice.
the saddle seat excuse is ridiculous. They say that they want to avoid showing any bad practices in game, however everyone knows that dancing horses are made to piaffe for entertainment, specially friesian and iberian horses, and the jorvik friesian and the lusitano do the piaffe, we also have an extended trot on the new warmbloods, that were released when a big dressage trainer was being investigated for abusing his horses, with that movement being highly associated with top level dressage. All equestrian sports can be abusive to the animal, if the people handling said animal wish it to be so. Show jumping can be abusive too and it's the main activity we do in game, same for cross country, and specially racing....
It sounds more like they didn't want to invest time making the custom tack that comes with saddle seat or have more requests for different activities in game... I think we could at least get the saddle seat trot that the american saddlebred is known for in shows. Could be interesting to use the coding of the dressage test in game to adapt it to saddle seat showing, in a different arena and ask for trot and special gate, and make it saddleseat breed exclusive like the tolt race
As a low level saddle seat rider that rides saddlebreds and knows it’s natural and not abusive, I agree with you but we also need to remember that the Star Stable headquarters is in Sweden where you don’t see this discipline. You can only see saddle seat in the United States and South Africa so with those reasons, it might look unnatural and abusive to them even though the gaits, high head carriage, and high leg movement is natural for the breeds used in the discipline.
A Piaffe was a move originally used in battle to keep horses warm on the spot, helping them remain focused on what's ahead and ready to move forward. It's a dressage move and a nod to classical riding styles so it makes sense that certain breeds can do it in game.
Abuse is unfortunately present in all riding styles, but it does seem to be more commonly prevalent with gaited breeds. Except for horse racing... I definitely don't see how Star Stable feels safer showcasing horse racing than saddleseat, so that's kind of ridiculous.
As a western rider I'm happy that they opted for western-style for the Saddlebreds, but I'm probably in the minority here.
In my opion, I half understand why. Alot of saddlebred horses we sored, and had surgeries on their tails, but at the same time, there are a lot of riders out there that train them properly and only help exencuiate the gait. Everything is abusive if done incorrectly. I can definetlly see why, but why not just give it a higher trot? Yknow?

i really want them to update the fjords 😭 i know they’re gen 3 but they look and move like gen 2 and the new tack doesnt fit them right
They absolutely update them and also lusitanos, andalusians, knabstrupers, etbs... Like they don't look right

Hello! If anyone could answer my question that would be AWSOME! When horse gens get updated like Gen 3 to Gen 3.5 and you own a Gen 3 horse would it then get updated when the breed gets updated so that it then becomes 3.5 since it’s still in the same Gen? Or would I need to buy a new version of the horse. Also two more questions. When a horse is level maxed when you sell it do you get your star coins back? And if anyone could, could anyone give me a list of 3.5 horses in star stable, ones that already have been updated please.

you dont get your stair cons back, you might get 5k js when you sell horses and youll have to buy the new gen, they never update a horse model thats already out without making you pay

@IsabellaTK sso hasn't officially stated that any horse is Gen 3.5
They have officially stated that they are working on the Gen 4 horses, some of the new features on the new horses are apart of the transition to Gen 4.
Alot of people are speculating that we have been in Gen 3.5 for a long while, for instance the first Gen 3 horse is the connemara pony, which quality wise is awful in comparison to the current horses. The horses didn't even have toungs intelligence the jorvik Friesians came out which is around the speculated Gen 3.5 starts
Even now the jorvik frisians look kinda bad in comparison to the newest horses
To me the problems with friesans are the eyes and the mouvements

Uh... There are over 400 breeds of horse and pony. I don't think they're updating the existing breeds because of limited options lol. I think they're just trying to keep the horses that are already in game current with their latest art and animation style.
