I ran track this year for the the first year as a junior and made it to metro league championship but got outed in the first round for the 800m with a time of 2:06 in high school wondering if you got any tips to get faster in the 800m I am going to cross country this summer and I love running

That's awesome, I personally didn't run the 800 much but I know that having speed is just as important as endurance. Doing cross country is good, but also make sure you're getting stronger in the gym and doing some speed oriented workouts.

@@xavierschultz5012 Thanks for the input man I love this video you made you should probably test running different events whether you did it or not and try to make massive improvements it is very inspiring.

I dabbled in the 800-meter distance. I felt that XC helped a decent amount, but what I believed made me significantly faster at that distance was strength and muscle. I ran some of my fastest 800s at about 20 pounds heavier than what I started my relatively short track career with, so don't be afraid to put on some muscle and mass. Also, the 800 is one of the more challenging events to learn how to race; there are many solid strategies for racing that event, and determining what works best for you will make a sufficient drop in time. So keep racing and find what works best for you.
Also, 2:06 for your first year is absolutely no joke; you should be stoked about that!
