I’ve bought the tabs from the midnight medical coding. I do like them, but they do have the wrong pages for the hcpcs level ll, the Icd10, not the CPT. Majority of the tabs have the wrong page number. In the instructions, it does say that for different books, it won’t be the same. But it really sucked for me because I had to put white out on the tabs and try to write on them. That didn’t go as well. So far, I’ve seen great reviews on them, but I warn you now, since I learned the hard way and was so excited for new tabs to make sure that if you plan on buying some tabs, make sure that the seller has the ones that go with AHIMA, (since I’m with AHIMA) or the books you have. If not, you’ll be doing the same thing I did.

Hi, great video. Fellow tab maker here ✋! I just wanted to say that most likely the tabs are laminated but just using a matte finish rather than glossy. Also, in terms of how sturdy the tabs are, I’ve noticed that if it’s too sturdy it makes the potential of ripping the page much higher. I hope this helps. 😊🤗
I used Medical Coding Tabs Girl and I loved them. If you move slowly when applying the tabs it's easy unless you are a perfectionist then it can be annoying. My main tip when tabbing is to start at the bottom if you can figure out the pattern in which the tabs will need to go. Doing this I found made it easier to line the tabs along each other with minimal overlaps bc it also depends on how the book is sitting so have a hard surface and plenty of space.
To be fair though after watching the whole review I plan to get the ones by Medical Coding Tabs Co when I have the money. The grid just seems so helpful.

If the patient came for admission for brochiolitis and he is copd patient what is assigned first?
Hi! I’m losing my mind over a coding issue, hoping for some help… if one pediatrician sees twins on the same day, what can I do to stop the insurance companies from denying one patient’s claim because they paid the other kid’s claim? They share the parent’s insurance ID, same DOB, frequently the same first initial, and the system automatically rejects the claims, so are we doomed to keep fighting the insurance companies for every family with multiple births, or is there a coding solution for this?
I bought tabs on Amazon for my books. Bova Books brand. They make nice double sided tabs.
So quick question- I am a medical professional with a degree. I'm a medical & surgical technologist in the field of Ophthalmology with 20 yrs clinical/surgical experienceI. I have a great deal of knowledge of medical Dx codes, surgical procedure codes and application for nearly 20 yrs. I am needing to get into a non-patient facing career; working remotely and utilize my very extensive education and medical background- and medical coding seems to be a very good fit for me. I would expect not to be treated as a "no experience" individual after passing my CPC, due to my degree and extensive medical/surgical background. Any assessment of this or advice?

I completed my diploma for medical coding specialist dec 2023. I am prepped to take my CCS exam and wondering if I need to get a new ICD 10 CM code book for the 2024 exam?
I have a question. Can I purchase all the study materials highlighted in the description and be able to sit for the exam or do I need to go through the AAPC CPC exam prep course. Lastly, what are the 80 CEU is referring to?

"Handwritten notes are acceptable in the coding books only if they pertain to daily coding activities. Questions from the Study Guides, Practice Exams, or the Exam itself are prohibited. Tabs may be inserted, taped, pasted, glued, or stapled in the manuals so long as the obvious intent of the tab is to earmark a page with words or numbers, not supplement information in the book. Altering, whiting out, painting, or printing over any pages within the code books (e.g., marketing pages, table of contents, reference pages, etc.) to supplement information is prohibited.
No materials (other than tab dividers) may be inserted, taped, pasted, glued, or stapled in the manuals."

Have you ever tried the Medical Coding Academy sets?
I tried them Susan (twice) and honestly, unless they changed their process for the 2024 books, you literally have to the write the information in some of them. Which I was ok with the first time around, but got a little irritated the second time around. I would not get them.
Please consider leaving out the background music for viewers with sensory issues.
