I was aware at the time that the 5C was just a reskinned 5. I didn't mind it at all because the plastic built and rounded corners and edges made it comfortable to hold. I'm planning to buy one for my collection.
For me it's hilarious that people keep pointing out the plastic back as the biggest fail. Plastic shells are NOT a bad thing, they are lighter and allow for better antenna reception. The rest of the festures are what makes it bad
I loved the 5C. I never used a case on it and it never broke from a drop. I still have it in my desk. I don't care that it was less powerful then the next one. The 5S was more fragile. It felt good in the hand unlike this flat edge 5S. But that's just me.
Everyone bashes the hard plastic that was on the 5c, but not the fragile glass that's on modern phones. If I couldn't have the aluminum, I'd rather have the plastic back.
It’s funny reading these comments, when I was younger I remember everyone bashing this phone. But 10 years later the opinion has definitely shifted a little bit! The colors were honestly sick, and I wouldn’t hate if apple released an updated version of these phones with modern SOC’s and an updated display
@@techno_eclipse I only bashed it, originally, because they replaced the iPhone 5, with the aluminum back, with the 5C, with the plastic back. If they replaced the glass backs with it, I'd be all for it!
I sincerely think you missed the point. Apple was starting their pivot towards “inclusivity” and being unique so the difference in colors was how they gave people options to show off their “personalities” I just bought it because it was green and solely for that reason 😆
I think his wife didn’t work because his router doesn’t support 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi, it’s not a Phone issue since even my iPhone 4 can connect to every network around me
Seeing the thumbnail and the title... my immediate reaction is "oh no... not usable" Unless you will use it as a media player and dumb phone (we still have 2G-5G in the Philippines). Apple moving to 64-bit is one of the greatest things that they did. The last supported software of iphones are still fast enough to not frustrate you. I am typing this in my first gen SE and I can still do a lot of things that my 12 mini does. I also still have my iphone 5 which is the same as the 5c. That phone is so freaking slow. You can downgrade to 8.4.1 which is faster but no apps work anymore.
I had the 5C after having had the 5. I liked the plastic body, it was fun. The problem is that they kept the 5 internals. It should have had Touch ID and the 5S cpu. That would have made it more popular. I didn’t like the metal back of the 5 which is why I got the 5C. Plus you didn’t have to baby it because it was plastic
I tried for like an hour. I am such a network idiot, but from my searching what I found is that my router doesn't support something this old. Its a perfect media player though, and it looks so trendy (I am 29 with 2 kids not sure if this is a cool phrase or not)
@@techno_eclipsealso since you obviously know phones, do you think it would be worth upgrading from an iPhone SE 3 to an iPhone 13 mini? Considering all the upgrades but still being the same generation chip so no speed improvement, do you think it would it be worth the few hundred $?
@@JackJicky-s8iSure, the iPhone 7 is good, but for me it’s one of Apple’s worst phones because it is the first iPhone to ditch the headphone port. And that port is important to me.

i got a 5c for my videos
Bro the thumbnail is like 144p
Thank you! I thought I sort of noticed that.

Yeah I'm actually sick of glass backs. This point I would rather plastic or metal or vegan leather

Modern phones could definitely have headphone jacks, but they omit the jack, on purpose, to sell wireless ear buds. They can't convince me, otherwise.
This is nuts......I LOVE LOVE LOVED my iPhone 5C, It was white with the Black Apple "grilled" case.
The cases were sick!

Old iphone somehow, really looks cool
Its a great design, just at the time it was a horrible price
@@techno_eclipseyes i agree 😅
I remember Sony Ericsson Walkman phones. They were the coolest
I like this, probably more durable than any other glass back phones
3:33 you could of hotspotted internet from your other phones or used mobile data on the 5c for going on the internet

I love the 5c video on how it's made
I believe it was released in 16gb and 32gb, the 8gb came a year later. That green was my favorite color iPhone until the 13 Mini Green came out!
The green and blue are sick! Also I think you are right, I found some conflicting info, but I believe I was wrong, thank you!

Yeah 8 ios's old.... Plus last 32 bit iphone. Makes a really good media device though! Plus its so pretty
The iPhone 5c was a good phone
So nostalgic, that dot case was something else tho
they take it back on 14 and 15 series, that "a year old hardware"
That was my first iPhone. Our company issued them to replace our BlackBerry.
I loved my Blue IPhone 5C, I got a carrier deal so it was cheap plus cute!

I would 100% love an update with this same design language. The shiny plastic is so sick, but the 32 bit CPU was a killer
great video!
The worst is the iPhone 16 with its side camera button and Its price is higher than 15 and nothing changes
I am watching on iPhone 5C and its burning on fire
I have a salmon model with a green case it’s my fun little water melon phone
The colors are so sick, and those cases look so nice. Everything Apple releases now is so dull
Where is the audio ?
Bro people complain and expect too much HAHAHA! I had a yellow 5c and it was awesome.
I'm watching this on my iphone 5c 💀💀
💀
How? Through safari? My SE1 which is much newer barely supports the app(the se is an iPhone 5 with iPhone 7 internal components.
@@fierymoth4330 yeah it’s pretty crazy watching on a 1phone 5c
@@gamestechvideos yes, it was through safari that I watch UA-cam videos 🙂. The UA-cam app stopped working on this iPhone 5c I think since year 2020
Stop lying.
bro my iphone 5c is ios 10.3.3
how update
shii it looks kind of good, wouldn't have bought it though, because of the horrible pricing.
Bruh is not the worst
Same boat as me. But I just cracked my display... I think I will be forced to fix that with the battery upgrade
but it was all the rage with teens and preteens cause of the colors
You can’t use WiFi on it????

it "failed" because it didn't have the "allure" of the premium iPhones that posers wanted to show off.
cool, i want it!
Idk it looks kinda cute
I know... In retrospective I actually love the design. Plus the colors!!

Apple’s worst phone ever. Next to it is the iPhone 16 (entire lineup). 3rd one is the iPhone 7. 4th is the iPhone 14 Plus.
