The Setsubun Festival at Oomoto is a ceremony for purifying the nation and the whole universe, this ritual is referred to as Oharai or Great Purification. It is so beautiful in the snow as prayers, written by followers on biodegradable paper, are blessed by lay priests and ritually dispersed in the nearby steam of Ayabe, Japan.
