It's because her kit has systemic issues mihoyo will most likely never change (i.e. auto targetting on a moving target, the ICD of her E auto vaporize, etc) but some people just hate on her for the sake of hating on her which I find extremely strange.
Imo,most of people does not hate yoimiya, it just her banner come up on a wrong time, most of people will skip her for the next characters and its proper enough.
The funny thing is I wanted her since I first saw her design, saw her kit, then a lot of people told me she was bad and disappointing, then, Mihoyo decided to put Ba'al after Yoimiya which made more people to tell me how Ba'al is more worth it, I'm not really a meta player but I guess I was pressured. But I saw the Ba'al trailer, which is kinda nice, but my mind was still on Yoimiya. I am a low spender on a guaranteed
I rolled for Yoimiya in the end because I really feel like I'll regret it. I don't regret anything, I love her. I also got my Sayu C2, and my Sac sword from her ascension then tried to snatch her weapon but got Jade Spear, which is an absolute win because I'm aiming for Xiao next.
Pull who you want more, guys! Even the starter team can clear the abyss, besides, the characters are coming back so don't be pressured at all

She really is mobile friendly. Day by day, I get love her more.
I love everything about Yoimiya, she looks beautiful, her attack animation is nice, her damage is what I need, I love her firework show, and I love the fact that she could kill Timmie birds.

I was super hyped when I got her!! I love her design, attacks and mechanics, I have a soft spot for her so it really pained me to see people hating on her because she couldn't do as many numbers as Hu Tao but she gets the job done. She is super friendly for those who don't have a great aim aka me (although I have improved with her), you can just spam the attack bottom and it will directly follow the enemy and her reactions with other elements in your team are great and really fun to play. I just hope that whenever she'll have a rerun people will acknowledge how great she really is :')❤️
The fireworks also follows the abyss mage when it starts teleporting just like Diona’s shield OvO
Also one other useful thing! With her crafting talent, ores refunded from making stuff count towards the ores mined daily challenge.

I pulled for Yoimiya because I really liked her, even after getting c1 Keqing. Her banner was painful, but at 78 pity, I finally got her.
But then I started second-guessing myself. She's not meta, so I thought I was making a bad decision pulling for her. She's a bit hard to play too and _really_ needs supports to work well. I thought I'd regret pulling for her... but I don't! Not anymore at least.
I grinded and invested a lot in her, even used up almost all my fragile resins. And she's amazing. Not meta, but not weak either. I just didn't know how to play her, which is why I thought she was weak.
Also, can't wait to bully Electronid, ehe.

🌸😹It could be uttered that one would be wise to pick up Yoimiya simply because she is an amazing unit capable of incredible dps output and inconsequential of what the naysayers may say (whom always expect the next Ganyu), she is not a bad unit. It could be said that her detractors are but unskilled nanny’s that cannot cope with nor possess enough brain power to handle a Pyro Unit not centered around vaporize😹🌸
I may not be wise, but I have reasons why people like me don't choose to get Yoimiya. First, she may look like a main DPS, she Is also a sub DPS. Whichever you choose, it won't be as effective either way. Second, although she may put up alot of damage, she is very weak against larger enemies and struggles to defeat them unlike other main DPS pyros. Third, it's your opinion to get Yoimiya or not. Unless you have no good pyro characters or just like Yoimiya, then you would be wise to get her. But do remember that you won't fare well against harder enemies along the way.

Her damage per second is excellent and the fact that she doesn't have to chase bosses/minibosses down to be within range means her damage output is more consistent. She's just a single-target dps, not meant to deal with crowds as a main dps.
@@zeshekin8698 I'd like to know that too. In my experience 99.99% players who are saying she's bad at dps'ing are the ones who skipped her. I've not seen even one yoimiya puller complaining about her dps.
And what's funny is that the skippers are using the reverse argument "the ones who are complaining are the ones who pulled her", which is so wrong lol. Show me a yoimiya main who has built her, who knows what she's capable of in right comps, and who also knows about the correct status (strengths and weaknesses) of other dps's, and still says she's bad.
I've built her, she beats my homa hu. It's not even funny to call her a bad dps. The issue with icd's is non existent due to her attack frequency (devs know what they are doing, if you start vaping every AA on yoimiya, she's beyond broken lol, 50k every AA with a shit build, and 100k every AA with a decent buffed build with rust, not even pulse, that'll beat all c6 dps's lol), her range has never been a problem, since she's not a CA spammer like ganyu, you can just displace yourself quickly and resume attacking, and finally I can accept the missing arrows on slime like enemies due to bow mechanics. It's just what it is.
I haven't seen anyone point out a problem with her kit outside of these.

yoimiya is my first 5* character so of course I got excited and built her a little properly. I just ascended to ar40 which I got her at ar42 ( I'm ar45 now ) and got the dmg achievement thingy because of her :D she does 14k I think, then I got really upset that people hate her which I didn't know about it before using her ;-; but I still main her :D
I don't use artifacts set on her lmao I just use the artifacts that have good substat sknck currently farming for shimenawa but keep getting the other one ;-;
