The boyfriend one is also a concern since he's probably hiding more than what we see under that loud and positive mask. It's a coping mechanism for him and not being able to stand up against his bullies and getting numb to a point where he doesn't realize that he's being bullied shows that he probably has some kind of mental issue which is just as much of an concern

The boyfriend of the 2nd concern shouldn't have to change, society's view of him should change. He shouldn't have to change his happy cheerful personality because people think he's weird. He's a decent guy. He hasn't done anything to deserve to be looked at that way.

I think the girl is too direct with it, that's what people thinks is "cute". And to say the least, it's a bigger concern for me that 1. teacher tell 9 year olds about smoking and 2. they tell them you die within 3 months and show you pictures that just can't be right. I would've sued the teacher. That's what people think is cute. Cause she has a view on a topic she can't understand and that she has no right to be talking about. Is he smoking in front of her? No. In the house? No. He's doing it so, that it wouldn't harm anyone else. So it's not her concern. She can ask him to quit, yes, but she has no right to steal his things or to throw a fit when he has a serious conversation or to embarrass him in front of the world. He is old enough to know what he's doing and it's his decision. You don't just drop dead from smoking. In my opinion she's not even cute but really overstepping boundaries and they should tell her daughter in a serious manner that it's not good. It's her behavior that is concerning to me.
Not that i want to say smoking is good but it's not her place to do things like this. If someone tells her to stop eating sweets cause she could die of diabetes and hides her sweets or tells her to stop in front of her friends, she would throw a fit too. If you think my example with diabetes is over the top, think about what she says to her father.
I don't understand the audience. The boyfriend that has a loud personality and the girl that fights with her siblings and literally goes through what every child with siblings go through is much more of a concern than a girl who's rightfully and validly worried about her father dying? I mean, he's been smoking for 25 years and is at major risks for health? A guy's loud mouth and sibling squabbles are more concerning than that?
*sigh* I love this show but there's just so many problems with the way they present things.
I think it's also a problem with how Koreans think. They might perceive certain things different than we do in the west

Ok you're right but don't just dismiss the last girl's concern just bc you think it's normal... I went through what she went with my older brother and everyone thought it was normal; but now I'm 18 and I still haven't forgotten about all of it. I still hate my brother and can't even talk to him, i moved out of our shared room bc I can't stand him. I seeing a therapist and psychologist and part of my problems are these stuff... It's not normal if it's hurting you.
It's probably because smoking isn't seen as a big concern in Korea. Like packets there are very cheap compared to other countries.
The smoking one isn't viewed as a concern since the father is well aware of his health, he wants to quit but whether or not he will, it is his problem. Yes, it does affect his family but not to the extent of causing health problems to them such as smoking in-doors. He also seems like a very loving father so the concern for the girl is only her worry about him dying early, which yes can be caused by smoking but someone can die pretty much any second in accidents or sudden health problems. The other two concerns aren't that big either, but both can be viewed as more concerning than the first. The second concern isn't mainly about the guy being loud, but of his history that has altered his personality to suppress the pain and avoid being hurt. The third concern can cause serious psychological trauma to the older sister, she already seems to feel very much pain and I really hope she won't get traumatized.

Korean society is seriously is so messed up. They're always on guard to adresse someone's uniqueness as an issue but alcoholism and addiction (either of drugs or games or sports ..) are okay for them. Neglecting your family or harming them either emotionally or physically is okay for them but being who you are is always a problem. I'm speechless.

I'm fine with people smoking in public as long as they have the COMMON SENSE to not make me inhale their smoke. My parents have smoked for about 40+ years (so, wayyyyyyy before I was even born) but they always made sure to smoke outside, or if I'm with them outside, they do it in a way that the smoke won't get to me

Not really their are some episodes where you can see them making fun of child abuse, mental problems and criminal actions. This show needs to be canceled, because some of the concerns are really serious.

@@QRQ18 ikr I used to watch this so often some cases really pissing me off the way they got brushed off but it wasn't so bad but nowadays they are just straight up dismissive. I stopped watching since last year, and I don't miss it.
And yeah, compared to when Mark, Dy and Jaehyun were on the show the interactions were lacking, I feel bad but that's just the tough love of being young idols. But then again they got stuck in a weird special episode. Getting screentime in shows like this is such a tough game.
I hope they get more time in shows as they get bigger because it's obvious they've definitely become much more confident and in tune to variety.

my family is exactly the same right down to the siblings, and order. i am also Eldest child with a younger sister and brother, it never got this bad because I am a very harsh person and I let them know exactly how angry I am, but a huge factor was because my parents never favoured one of us over the other. I can tell clearly the younger two on the show are rarely disciplined, if at all, and are favoured. it also made me mad how the mother just let them solve it on their own, as if a 12, 10, and 9 year old are capable of doing that. no wonder.

My father used to be a fairly heavy smoker as many other men in my country. Although i and my brother tried to ask him quit smoking, he just could not (yet he did cut down quite a lot, and never smoke in front of our faces). My mother asked us to try to understand him since he had been stressed.
It took him a few visits to the hospitals (involving surgeries) and frequent check-ups for him to finally realised the danger. He now enjoys exercising ang doing mind training, which is definitely a better and healthier choice to relieve stress. He has my mother as his training company half of the times.
So I would say anyone who uses stress as an excuse for smoking and drinking, maybe it's time for you to try other healthier methods! You smoke and drink to relieve stress in order to live happy, and what you get in return is a damaged lung, stomach, liver and kidney? Sounds unbeneficial!

how is a person's natural personality or siblings fights worse than a little girl who is concerned for the health of their father and family? i mean i also have two younger siblings and they fight all the time but its natural. also i think you cant change someones personality that describes them by just telling tthem to do so. being concerned by your family is much more important since is where you grow and live with. if this program is to solve serious problems, they should do so without any jokes because if the guest is there is something that concerns them.

1st concern: The 9-year old has a valid concern and her family should support the father quitting the cigs. It's unhealthy and bad and he's already got an anomaly showing on his exams? No question, a concern and horrible to see it treated as less. She's got a smart head, that girl. Keep your attitude towards cigarettes, sweet Nahyeon.
2nd concern: The boyfriend is sweet but I also think he's carrying a facade. He shouldn't have to change or become quieter, no need for that. But I do think the exercise of being genuine and actually /feeling/ negative emotions (like anger) is a good exercise for him and could help lower the facade he built after the bullying.
3rd concern: It always saddens me when I see sibling-fights on here (especially with young children still living at home) because the parents almost always disregard their role in the situation. What kind of thing is "she takes things sensitively and I can't do anything about that" to say? No woman, you can do everything about that. If she is more sensitive due to puberty, you tell her siblings to cut it out. Come on, you're the parent - parent your kids. And as an older child (as well) I think the whole "you're the oldest, you must be more mature" is a common thing in parenthood when you got multiple kids but it's damaging. She's 12, not 22. Let her be a kid still, there will be things she cannot do and feelings she can't understand and times where she'll need her mother. Give her that. Don't let her become "mini-mom". Ugh, most of these sibling-concerns concerning younger children could be changed with parenting. T_T (a rant)

For the boyfriend's case... I really like his personality, we need more people like him BUT, when the girlfriend said that some classmate were annoyed during class because they can't concentrate, I realise that he should know when he can be loud and when he should ve quiet... there are places and situations where/when you have to be quiet, his personality is great but if it's disturbing for someone else, he should calm down... we live in society so we have to do some sacrifices to harmonize with each other. This program needs to be canceled. There are so many serious concerns in that program (for example child abuse in one episode) and they make it seem like it's not serious. The people that come to the show need to go to someone professional that can help instead of just making fun of the them. Dad that is seriously so irresponsible, that kid is so innocent she LITERALLY (more than three months smoking) thinks he should be dead by now, imagine how sad she must be everytime she sees him smoking. People so careless shouldn't have a kid. I'm tearing up a bit rn, I bet he has punished her for throwing the cigarretes... and she did it out of love. This girl is going to have daddy issues in the future I can tell. This daily situation must be a little bit painful for her.

But being stressed out about your siblings is just how Sibling life is. I have 6 siblings as well as Sam and I get stressed because of them but it’s also part of life when you have a sibling (or more) but my mom had a harder life and had 10 siblings, she is the youngest and she had to do most of the work to help her siblings and her parents so it’s also kind of a survival skill you’ll have to learn. It’s part of growing up as well and can make you independent as well.
I really hate that girl from the second concern.. I mean it's his personality.. You can't change his personality like this just because he is loud.. I wish I could have a boyfriend like him..
