The Lithium battery on my Beta holds it's charge far better than my regular batteries on my other bikes, that has no immobiliser and even the dash I think has it's own watch battery so has no drain where as my GSXR has immobiliser and clock etc all draining stuff when it is parked. This reminds me, I really should detach the battery on my Moto Guzzi V7 as that is living in the house currently. I hope the charging system on your bike is ok and you just need to either replace the battery or give it a good charge.

I'm going to change the rectifier as it's very old and I'll check the condition of the stator. We've also got a different make lithium battery on Taffy's bike which is standing up very well. Sounds a lot like your charging system (alternator, rectifier, fly wheel etc) might be playing up mate. This happened on my tuono. I recharged the battery thinking that was the problem until it broke down again as the battery wasn’t receiving any charge while riding. Multi meter on the battery will rule it out mate 👍
Hiya mate, yeah I'm thinking it's the rectifier as they have a habit of going on the old hondas. I'll get a new one to be on the safe side and go from there. Jeez that wasn't good, I could do without a repeat of this and will get on top of it. I'll test the charging system to be on the safe side too 😉 all the best 😎🙏
This is crap, I know how you feel. Happened on my Ducati. First thing is to see what your output voltage is from the generator. Accross the battery terminals say 3000 revs . You could put probes in the battery trickle charger connector , if you can not get at the battery when I've is running. It should show say 14.4 v at around 3000. Good luck and I am sorry if you were planning to do this . Mine was the reg/rectifier so replaced it.
Hi mate, yep its a right pain, I'll test the charging system but it's probably the rectifier as they are renowned for going on the older Honda's and thank you for the info, it's not something that I've done for some time and you've jogged my memory on it so cheers! 😎🙏
@@SixthGearMotorcycles No problem, Also you can take Li ion battery out. Fully charge it and time the drop in voltage over say 12 hours. Just to test partly its health.
