Oliver Samuels is one of those living legends. He’s in a bracket of iconic Jamaican cultural giants with the likes of Miss Lou, Vollier “Claffy” Johnson, Bob Marley, (I left out Glen “Titus” Campbell intentionally because everybody know ‘bout him already).
These guys are the History (my bad: the Our story), the tale of the Jamaican People - the pint size giant in the globe.
Here in England Oliver Samuel's Comedy was a staple. In fact we watched them so often we could repeat most of the dialogues from each episode. Some of the phrases have become part of how we relate to each other even today. 😂😂😂really funny. I used to have a few friends round and we would all sit and laugh "till we belly buss" My ultimate favourites are, "Mad Max"
"Guess whose coming to dinner" and, "lt must be a Duppy" You know,🤔 so much has changed in my life. I look back on those days with real fondness. "Teach Dem, "

One of my favourite lines from him along with Maffy was when they attempted to share the money,so Oliver said "we a split it 60/40," Maffy rebutted and said "no sah,it affi split 60/60"... Oliver came back and said "aright 60/60, when mi tek my 60% di remaining 60% is yours." Maffy said "DEAL!!!" R.I.P Volier "Maffy" Johnson! Salute!!!

Met Oliver at Manley Airport back when I was 15. He did not hesitate to sign me an autograph and take 3 pics with me and my little sister. He was a genuine guy to us. Stardom and being Large-Oh had no effect on his love for his fans!

I was at working at EXPO 80 at the Arena , Sir Oliver was the entertainer for that evening, when he was called on stage , he came up with his hands behind him, he didn't say a word, he just stood there, everybody started to laugh , dropping on the floor, holding their belly, don't know what I was laughing for, but I too find myself on the floor, I love you Oliver , Fe real

Very funny genuine person coming and working with him on Hus tour's. For all the decade's Hus been in front our TV screen, and watching at our theater.
