Yeah, I didn't know she was like that, but after watching this, I gotta confess, she's high up there among my top 10 cutest things that ever walked this Earth.
not really. i met her and she’s a massive bitch and diva. it’s was for a tv show here in mexico, she didn’t like the piano the production brought (elton john has played with that piano). she didn’t care for the fans that waited for almost 5 hours for her to come out. so rude with everyone in the production. i used to like her before this, it was very heartbreaking.
@@ZarathrustaTate huh? Really? That's so strange. After watching this and reading "Meet Me in the Bathroom" I thought she'd be sweet. So much for that, I guess.🤔
i love people like this. she seems so free and open and you can see her brain works overtime and she has concepts there but she doesnt quite know how to express them how she;d like even though she does brilliant job of describing things anyways. i love her in this
she's absolutely right about the classical influence. the way she refers to how intervals and chords crunch and release is something i noticed even the first time i listened to reptilia.
That sparkle in her eyes when she talks about the Strokes, is priceless. The Strokes are my favourite band ever and Regina is my favourite singer :') They are just perfect ♥
The mere fact that you we're fortunate enough to see The Strokes in '03 is amazing. I recently just saw them for my first time at the Governor's Ball (their first show back after their long tour break) and it was amazing, so I couldn't even imagine the older strokes.
cawabunga360 i think now that herr der zeiten mentioned it, i remember reading something where jules said that music was the only thing he learned at school that he truly enjoyed.
Just hearing her describe her thoughts on The strokes and their musical style is like music to my ears! I could just as well be hearing one of her songs right now.. I don't know how she does it, but Regi seems to have this incredible ability to turn the seemingly ordinary into extraordinary.
lol i think i know exactly what she means by the intervals and stuff. like in The Modern Age, Hard to Explain and 12:51 there's something about how the melodic notes go together in the choruses in the first two songs and the verses in 12:51, it's like a release or something. IDK maybe if i saw them all on music sheets it would make more sense.
She's not freaking dumb, you guys. She's absolutely adorable and is fangirling over one of her favorite bands. Give her a break, the woman is intelligent. Some people can find it easier to express what they're feeling when they're writing, some by talking, and my guess in Regina's case, it's singing. She could also be high. That is a very likely possibility for her. That doesn't make her music any less amazing, though. I'd like to see you write/sing like that.
I watched this video years ago and for some reason it's been popping up on my recommendations lately so I've finally watched it again. Regina is so sweet💕
That's what I'm thinking. Isn't she married to Jack? She just really adores them and loves their music. I love how genuine she is and truthful and real :)
I liked her description of the band. I agree. I think Julian especially really likes classical music. Definitely present in Julian's solo record and the last album. Sounds like she's been somewhat formally trained too! I'm getting there!
You know that pain you feel in the back of your head when you smile for a long time? She's impervious to it. I would've died. Smiling is my kryptonite.
i agree with her comments on their music. you can tell they put a lot of effort and thought into their guitar parts, i think of classical piano music, the way their accompaniments are interesting enough that you pay attention to the melody and the guitars. They also use alot of unexpected notes that might not be part of the chord, i think that's what she was referring to about their intervals
Modern Girls & Old Fashion Men is probably my favourite song by The Strokes. I wish Julian and Regina did more duets. It's hard to pair 2 voices that well.
i got so excited when i first heard modern girls. i loved both artists but never would have pictured them together. their differences compliment eachother so well
Her smile just proves how she much she loves them! I mean, who doesn't?
@Lydia Ponce I only know a few people who know The Strokes kinda sad, but i love the strokes so much!
Voxtort it’s sad because no other 14 year old girl like me has heard of the strokes😪

she speaks like shes from a different time, what a timeless aura she radiates

That"s why lots of people like creating music and songs. Sounds cringey, but music is very helpful for expressing thoughts.

Herr der Zeiten did he? how do you know? cuz i was wondering
cawabunga360 i think now that herr der zeiten mentioned it, i remember reading something where jules said that music was the only thing he learned at school that he truly enjoyed.
Everytime I listen to Hard to Explain I can imagine a violin playing instead of julian singing.

The strokes aren't over rated
They tried their best to avoid hype and just make good music.
They try to avoid hype? LMFAO!!!
Aentrus hype isnt the same thing as recognition and success
Aentrus it’s not the popularity, it’s the result of it that sucks
Yeah hype is a bad word. Hype is how trash becomes tolerated. Strokes did their best to avoid that. They had loads of integrity.
They literally play coachella and kaboo all the time stfu abt that avoiding hype shit
Omg! This is so adorable, I love it! Her enthusiasm is just great, and that story about Nikolai is so sweet.
