I could rant for hours on how beautifully crafted "Why" is, especially in terms of storytelling. The MV depicts a struggle between some members wishing for them to become androids while the others want to keep their humanity, and the song was produced based on this theme. If you didn't notice during the chorus they sing "넌 넌 너무 위험한데 점점 난 부서지는데" ("you’re so dangerous, I’m breaking down more and more") and then there's a small break with these synth strings you mentioned, which are cut shortly by a member singing "왜 네가 좋아 왜 네가" ("but why do I like you? why do I?") (the last chorus has slightly different lyrics but the structure is the same) --> this small line gets more and more distorted throughout the song as the robotic filter on their voice makes it totally unrecognizable by the end of the song (interestingly though, only Wyatt's part reaches that point while in the MV he's apparently the only member "reborn" as an android). It's just a small detail from the song, but just like any other ONF songs there is a lot happening in the production that always makes it so fun to listen to tbh!

On ON/OFF mv, Laun sacrificed his life force(the part where he puts his "heart" on the tower thingy) so that the members would be able to continue their travel
Then in We Must Love.. it is the journey of the members trying to find/bring him back but in the process, they messed up the timeline hence why they are being chased down during ByuByu and Popping mv
Laun departs from ONF few days after celebrating his birthday with them. Its too sudden the members themselves didn't know. By this time period, the teasers for their Go Live(Why) album was already set in motion. ONF definitely did reshoots for Why mv
We also didn't know the reason but atleast we know now that he's doing well and pursuing a culinary career as a normal citizen
32:05 Their music producer Hwang Hyun said in an interview that ONF's debut album is his first time working with WM, so he was still figuring out WM wants and try to meet their requirements. But starting from the 2nd album WM just let him do whatever he wants🤣
I love WHY sm, so dramatic and its MV is amazing for the year and the company budget
Thank you for doing this ONF marathon! ONF's concept since debut is Android, so there's a lot of scenes of the members losing memory, jumping through time, meeting another self (which was cloned), dying (looking like robots being turned off) in their MVs. Also, if you watch the MV of 'My Name Is' (a pre-release of Beautiful Beautiful) you'll learn their names and faces more easily!

9:43 ONF have a show on their channel called Dive Into ONF. its fully subbed and fairly short but a fun watch. i think its a good way to get to know the member's faces if you have time to watch in your own time

I meet ONF twice with Laun there so when he left i feel like crazy. Please stan ONF! they're Hidden gem in kpop. All the songs is phenomenal ❤
I really love your channel you've managed to deep dive into almost all my ult groups fromis_9 is my favourite K-pop group of all time and onf are my favourite boy group. Both groups don't get much appreciation from the K-pop community on UA-cam so it's amazing to see you enjoy both as much as I do.

Yeah some songs can just be bops (Complete) - THE SAX, I KNOW. I had heard... Why, Goosebumps, Beautiful and maybe Love Effect before I just went back and listened to the entire discography in order when I got to know them in the last couple months before their most recent comeback so going through this with you is like revisiting my own FUSE journey
