Well technically in the first movie when he goes berserk he wanted revenge on humanity for what they did to him twice(transforming him into Godzilla and than literally digging up he’s corpse and turning him into a cyborg). After getting he’s revenge he did want peace but he also didn’t want to kill he’s own species and decided to take the new Godzilla to sea to be saved from destruction
"Sayonaro Yoshito" still gives me chills. Somehow a computer with letters on a screen created a more emotional scene than the recent Disney junk with Human actors.

Its because in Kiryu's body is the skeleton of the first Godzilla. So if you think about it Kiryu vs Godzilla is really Grandfather vs Grandson, and thats why he went Rouge because he regained his memory for a moment and tried to get revenge on mankind for turning him into a machine.

@@sectorz1019even the pilot from the first movie stated that it didn’t want to fight plus they wanted to scrap kiryu after they ended godzilla but they still used it on it’s kin with it taking control to take it’s kind out to sea while saving the dude who was trapped on board
@@TheCrimsonKing56 they used kiryu still cause they didn’t have any other option but to, the prime minister said after kiryu has destroyed Godzilla they would end the project cause they shouldn’t have tampered with the laws of life and death. The last memories you have alive is being horrible killed not knowing what’s going on and next waking up covered in metal seeing your son standing in front of you. Yeah I don’t blame kiryu for going crazy at all, in the comics they bring kiryu back somehow not exactly sure how they where able to find him after he sank into the ocean thou?
@@sectorz1019 If they made a third movie of Kiryu I’m not sure how that would’ve went
@@TheCrimsonKing56 they couldn’t at the time since mothra wanted them to put kiryu back to the sea and the government already agreeing to scrap the project once Godzilla was killed. But since kiryu went on he’s own terms and sank to the bottom of the sea that brings a chance that kiryu can always come back from its sleep if need to be. I don’t think anyone has found or even looked for kiryu since it sank to the sea
