Same victim here. I still can't figure it out why it happened. Could be either due to manually written API key, fake Steam login or actual remote-access malware. If it was my phone, all my items over 1$ would be gone. 4.50 euro got scammed in exchange for single 0.03$ Dota item.
Happened to me today, its fucked. Even with 2FA the items were sold and no confirmation was needed, lost about 100 dollars worth of rust skins and im pretty sure they added funds on the account with my card and then bought more items.

I get the same thing like you did. My steam balance got stolen by buying steam dota and csgo market item. Hopes steam changes something with the market to make it more safe. I learn a lot from this incident. I will never topup my balance anymore to the steam. Just to be safe buy from the store. I never know there is another way to buy game without steam wallet before. This happened with me except they bought TF2 items and CSGO items I find it really sad how people can get scammed out of hundreds of dollars like you i got lucky by losing only about 30 dollars but steam support won't do anything which is extremely annoying

The same just happened to me but I got very lucky, I had a inventory worth 400+ dollars aka a knife and gloves, but they could not touch that. the rest of my skins are gone tho and I instantly transfered my knife and gloves to skinport so they can't touch it. I instantly decided all my skins since I have so much verification on my account and yet they still managed to get in without any login request that got send to my email.
@@user-ei8ix4zg4u So what happends is you download something on ur pc like some kind of bot, that bot sells everything under a certained amount of money so you or steam don't get alerted, this way they can make as much money as possible without getting detected. Items above a certained price tagg so expensive items need a mobile verification if you have that setup and that's why they can't touch it.
Ur best option is looking up a tutorial on how to fully reset your pc cus you might have a rat on your pc and that's why you are not getting a login request.

Steam Support can't restore your items and it's already sold because the users from (seller) think who it is their fault that you bought these items and it's happening. Make sure you have to scan your computer viruses it causes to hijack your accounts or malware on public websites perhaps you need to change a new password too for your future. It happens to me when i lost 20$ without checking confirmations on my phone and it's scripted. However, the security steam is so poor and people from China, USA or Russia have a power of scripts and they are pretty reactive and advanced to hijack someone's account every new year.

this shit happened to me twice. Once it happene around 3 years ago and it happened again yesterday. I lost all my items and money and they were sold in the market. Then had bought some cheap 1 rs item for 400rs. This happened to me yesterday also and i have a paid antivirus on my pc and phone so no malware. i had around 300rs worth of items and money and all of it was sold for the same multiple pictures that you also bought from the same account. I lost all of my money twice and haev lost hope ffrom steam. Thankfully i didnt lose more than 1000rs which is around 10 dollars so it didnt cause much harm to me but i can imagine how it must have been for others out there
they mostly hacked (access) ur steam via browser, u should logout the steam whenever u are not using the browser. They dont need any information of ur account , so be caution with the browser login stuff. And get a malware scan tool
So even if I change my password and email the hackers will still have access to my account I was just scammed today I changed my email and password and made a steam guard as Im seeing the comment section it appears my efforts to secure my account is useless I've lost some dota 2 items and what's worse is they added funds and used it on my account

I know what happened. It was basically a website that you clicked on and they got your information on steam so they can log into your account anytime they want it was a third-party website. I don’t know which one it was by the way just don’t fall for it.
So if you visit the third party website it steal username and password and more then it can login and steam guardian doesn’t work for that it only works for your account not get hacked easily and plus if you try to do a refund for a community it won’t let you because it’s not steam policy when a third-party takes control of your steam account. It means it’s corrupted. You can do something about but it’s on steam help website

For reals? I lost 4.50 and I was already worried badly. Did you had Steam Guard enabled? If no, then it was remote-access or fake steam login or API key that you wrote once. If you had Steam Guard and all expensive items got sold, your phone is mostly likely compromised.

Steam Support can't restore your items and it's already sold because the users from (seller) think who it is their fault that you bought these items and it's happening. Make sure you have to scan your computer viruses it causes to hijack your accounts or malware on public websites perhaps you need to change a new password too for your future. It happens to me when i lost 20$ without checking confirmations on my phone and it's scripted. However, the security steam is so poor and people from China, USA or Russia have a power of scripts and they are pretty reactive and advanced to hijack someone's account every new year.

this shit happened to me twice. Once it happene around 3 years ago and it happened again yesterday. I lost all my items and money and they were sold in the market. Then had bought some cheap 1 rs item for 400rs. This happened to me yesterday also and i have a paid antivirus on my pc and phone so no malware. i had around 300rs worth of items and money and all of it was sold for the same multiple pictures that you also bought from the same account. I lost all of my money twice and haev lost hope ffrom steam. Thankfully i didnt lose more than 1000rs which is around 10 dollars so it didnt cause much harm to me but i can imagine how it must have been for others out there
they mostly hacked (access) ur steam via browser, u should logout the steam whenever u are not using the browser. They dont need any information of ur account , so be caution with the browser login stuff. And get a malware scan tool
So even if I change my password and email the hackers will still have access to my account I was just scammed today I changed my email and password and made a steam guard as Im seeing the comment section it appears my efforts to secure my account is useless I've lost some dota 2 items and what's worse is they added funds and used it on my account

I know what happened. It was basically a website that you clicked on and they got your information on steam so they can log into your account anytime they want it was a third-party website. I don’t know which one it was by the way just don’t fall for it.
I had steam guard on how can someone login even if they have my information without steam guard
So if you visit the third party website it steal username and password and more then it can login and steam guardian doesn’t work for that it only works for your account not get hacked easily and plus if you try to do a refund for a community it won’t let you because it’s not steam policy when a third-party takes control of your steam account. It means it’s corrupted. You can do something about but it’s on steam help website

For reals? I lost 4.50 and I was already worried badly. Did you had Steam Guard enabled? If no, then it was remote-access or fake steam login or API key that you wrote once. If you had Steam Guard and all expensive items got sold, your phone is mostly likely compromised.

It probably was because of API key, Fake Steam login website (or gambling site) or Remote-Access which could have ended worse with outside Steam scams.

Steam says that they hacked my phone number and get my massage as i get it. They respond that its my foult, but in my eyes ive done everything they ask from me still I get scammed.
