- Spikair Gameplay Episode 6 presented by Yes Guy Gaming. It seems there are some other game developers out there who are fans of volleyball. Heard about the release of Spikair Volleyball, a new volleyball video game recently released on Steam. Of course I had to check it out in this Spikair gameplay video!

They should make different animations for when the setter dumps, or an attacker tips. That would make it way easier to react to.

So first of all, you need to know that it's not your fault entirely !
The truth is we made this mode extra hard for the hardcore players on the discord ;)
The AI is basically super-human with crazy reaction time xD
For the EA, we'll try to make it more human = more mistakes / more reaction time
OTHER STUFF
setter dump is too fast atm and you can't really feel when it will be a hard one
On our dev version, the dump is slower + the speed is increased as the setter is close to the net. It means that you can see if it's going to be a dangerous dump or not (when the setter is in the net)
ADVICES
I think you're doing a great job on every aspect of the game but your attack timing could be improved. If you press A at the last moment, you can send missile to the defender and he won't be able to dig it. No need to over-use superspike/longspike. Just pressing A alone on the good timing will be really tought for the opponent.
(same for serves)
Also, you know you can use the gamepad to "restart" ?

The way the ai commiting works is
After setting the middle once, it'll commit on the middle 3 more times until it goes back to read, which means you can almost 100% score on excellent passes, because this only works on excellent passes, not at the 3m
What i did to score points and beat this difficulty:
- I set a lot of middle at the start of the match. The earlier you choose to who to set, the faster the middle will come in for a quick. Its hard for the opposing blocker to block you when you're up early.
- Then I would start setting a little more outside, since the blocker would start to commit block on my middle. If the blocker was on my outside, I would aim short and press the hit button a little early, and immediately cover by quickly pressing right and the pass button after hitting. Pressing the button to hit a little earlier makes the attack weaker, so my defender has time to pick it up after getting blocked. Basically I aim short for almost every hit, but I allow myself to cover if theres a block.
- Relating to hitting with the outside, there are times when the pass is way off the net, and if you set outside and aim short, he hits into the tape. THIS is when you can aim deep and go for high hands. On this difficulty, the defense won't shank a deep hit, so hoping to get a good tool is about all you can do.
-Then I continued to mix up setting middle and outside, just to keep throwing off the blocker.
-For blocking, I typically just commit on the middle when theyre in system and react with defense. Its a little dependent on luck, but sometimes luck is all you need.
- For serving, I aimed neutral and just hit the ball with good timing. They pass every ball perfect, unless you get a net-flipper, which puts the setter off the net.
Not sure if this will be any helpful or not, or if this made any sense, but I tried my best to explain how I beat this mode.

This isn't true. There is no good timing on the sets. It's about mind game :)

@@lejocarry Really? To me it feels like when I choose to set someone quicker the middle starts their approach sooner. I know you're making the game so obviously you're right but I guess I'm just imagining it.
@@shanevb actually its the middle tempo what decides the speed of the set (for now, idk if they'll change that)
