    The cheapest price for this mic is 63-65€/$74-76 in germany, but a lot of people buy it for 80€/95 dollars. Its kind of sad this mic is so expensive in germany and it has so many people recommending it at said price.

      @@EumlOriginal Also ich hab das auna 900b und bin sehr zufrieden. Keiner meckert über den Ton und auch andere Reviews zerreißen dieses mic nicht so sehr. Und ja die gehen auch ins Detail. @@JerryDerGlatzkopf Weil als erstes dieses Mikro mehr kostet als *baugleiche*, also im Grunde ein billiges NW-700 ...
      für das Geld bekommst du auch ein BM-800(was besser klingt) und ein Behringer U-Phoria was weniger Rauscht + das es mehr kann und Zubehör dabei ist, auch wurde das Marantz hier zB. auch schon genannt ...
      dazu kommt das die meisten keine Ahnung haben wie man so ein Mic benutzt noch viel weniger was die Vor und Nachteile sind, dann hat man die Leute dann im TS und hört nur Tastatur oder sie klingen mit dem Teil schlechter als mit ihrem 30 Euro Headset

    • @Podcastage
      @Podcastage  6 років тому +1

      Yeah. That's fair. I have become a lot more critical recently so it's possible I'm becoming a lot harsher on mics I review now than I was a year and a half ago.

    • @johnjackson8902
      @johnjackson8902 6 років тому

      You really hear how awful this thing is on the guitar test though. I'm sure it'll be fine for a let's play or livestream, but that's about it. Honestly even the NW-700 and BM-700 sound better on the acoustic guitar. They don't sound great, but I think they capture a bit more of the resonating sound or echo or whatever you'd call that, while this mostly seems to capture the sound of strumming without any of the personality.
      +Podcastage Makes sense since a lot of the time you're reviewing stuff that's basically just the Neewer mics with another body and a higher price. Some stuff is arguably worse since it's either the same quality or not enough of an improvement to warrant the price difference. At this point it's probably fair to just say if you're paying under $50 for a mic it'll probably just be similar to the Neewers, Tonors, Excelvans, etc. If you skip 3 reviews of such crappy mics (at least the Neewer, Tonor, and Excelvan mics are are all $25>) you could do 1 review of something in the $70-100~ range, which I'm sure will be a lot more fun. You could always do more Versus series shootouts as well if there are any mics you like that you haven't compared. Maybe compare some stuff that you like to the TLM-102.

    Is there any difference between the 900S and the 900B? Simply asking because while this seems to cost 19$/45$ (in Black) in the US, it's 100$ in Europe. Are they really the same mics? Just asking because I ordered myself the 900B and I'm really excited about it. Wasn't exactly convinced by the end of your video by all the bad critique, this is a really good budget mic in my opinion.

    Hello, I would really appreciate if you made a video where you show possible fixes for poor USB microphone quality on Windows 10. This would be a help for me and for many other people.
    I personally have a built desktop computer with the MSI Krait Gaming Z270 motherboard. My microphone is the Samson C01U Pro. If you have any ideas for a fix on my end, it would be highly appreciated. Because the quality of my microphone is terrible compared to your videos on the Samson C01U Pro. The only fix I can think of is switching to Windows 7 but I would lose too much.

    I use a USB mic with Audacity to record and get latency when using the playthrough option to monitor in my headphones. I have watched numerous YT vids on correcting the latency by measuring the lag and entering the time in minus milliseconds in the latency correction box, but the lag remains unaltered (no idea why!), which is very off-putting! If I get a USB mic with a built in headphone socket will this definitely stop the lag in my headphones, OR is there any other way to stop this problem? I've only just bought this USB mic and am kicking myself for not going for an XLR option or a USB with headphone socket!! Any help with this latency issue would be much appreciated. I'm wandering if this is gonna be a problem I'm stuck with without getting some new equipment!!

      Just tested both of them and out of those two I would probably pick the mic900. The NTUSB sounds like it's boosted significantly more in the high frequencies. While the 900b is also boosted in the high frequencies, it's warmer sounding, and I would probably pick that. However, the 900 has a weaker preamp and is significantly noisier, but it's also a lot cheaper. So you gotta weigh the pros and cons here.

    I'd say just get the NW7000-USB. I can't imagine it's any worse, and IIRC it was cheaper. Or you can get the BC Master USB mic for $10 more.
    It's kind of hard to find good USB mics since the quality is all over the place even at similar price points. If you can afford one of the "good" USB mics I'd just say get a Behringer interface and an AT2020, or any decent to good mic in the $70-100 range. Since the Yeti and similar USB mics are generally $140~.

    I agree with your opinion on the cons of the microphone, BUt I do find the audio is pretty good for a 35 dollar microphone. Again, thats just my opinion, gj Bandrew.

    So... this mic vs CAD GXL2400 USB, the CAD would be the winner, right?

    • @zezesilver
      @zezesilver 6 років тому

      Andrew M. Sheppard The only USB mic that could be a winner, or at least tie with an XLR mic, is the AT2020 USB+, but costs much more than the CAD.

    Hey man, I am wondering about buying new mic but I can´t choose between Auna Mic-900 or Samson Go mic. Both sounds great, both are in my budget... I don´t know how to choose so i would appreciate if you help me.

    • @Podcastage

      The go mic has a flatter frequency response and this one was harsh in the higher frequencies to my ears.

    • @NightmareFactory830
      @NightmareFactory830 6 років тому

      PVP Cookie personally i think it sounds better than the blue yeti, (at least for voice over or vocals) it dosent have that low hum/boom that the yeti adds to your voice. However a deeper voice might benifit from that.

    • @johnjackson8902

      Podcastage It's also $135 in Canada. You can get the MXL 990, 770, or V67G for around $100-$110 CDN, or the AT2020 for $130.
      This thing is terrible for that price. You'd be better off just paying $20~ for a Neewer mic and putting the rest towards an interface and headphones, or buying a used mic and an interface.
