Party Decorations Ideas -- Easy Ice-Cream Craft | Parents

Watch as Parents Magazine shows you how to make easy summer party decorations -- paper ice cream cones! To start this craft for kids, punch a hole on either side of a Paper Mache cone. Thread fishing line through each hole, and knot it. Cover a six-inch Styrofoam ball in a sheet of tissue paper, and secure it with hot glue. Stack two pieces of tissue paper, and push them into the center of the cone. Hot glue the paper to the cone's interior, then cut a piece of Styrofoam to fit the opening of the cone, and glue it. Push a wooden skewer into the bottom of the ball, then push the other end into the block. Get creative and make this easy ice cream craft for kids for your next summer party!

I like these. Neat party idea. If you are looking for a cool party favor that kids really can have fun with you should check out this tickleme plant greenhouse kit. They sell these as party favors at their site. The party favor kit has everything needed to grow the plant which sprouts in 4 days and reacts to being tickled in 2 weeks. Lots of fun.
