I just put these switches on my Keychain k12. They are great. With lubed stabs and foam mod, my keyboard is the quietest I have heard. Still tactile though. It’s awesome.
Thank you so much for this. I'm looking to build a quiet/silent GMMK Pro keyboard like this and having a hard time deciding between Gateron Ink Silent black vs. Boba U4 Silent. Does keycaps make a big different as well? if so, are there any you'd recommend?
You're welcome. Normally I will say yes the keycaps do much a big difference in feel/sound for most switches that aren't silent. I am not sure if it makes a big difference in sound for silent switches though. You can probably try looking up some silent switch sound tests with different keycaps which will give you an idea.
How do these compare to the Gatreon Browns? I'm dead set on a getting a GMMK Pro and the store I found offers them with switches and caps preinstalled so I'm getting one with the browns until I've decided on what switches do I actually want.
I've never tried Gateron Browns before (I'm going to assume they are similar to Cherry Browns) but apart from them being silent they have significantly more tactility in them and heavier.
@@timothysitu2554 Ah, I see. Do you know any switches that are lighter than the G Browns but have better tactility? A heavier switch might work against me in games.
I'm trying to make this build, where did you get the durock stabilizers from, do you have a link? and also was your switches 62g or 68g? any other mods?
You can buy durock stabilizers from here: www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZLXCWY9/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_P0NCNNVA61TTZAHTJ9SZ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 The board configuration is completely stock (nothing was swapped out or excluded; used everything that came with the kit). The springs are 62g.
This is what I was thinking on my next project/keyboard
btw, some reviews say that there is minimal difference between the lubed and unlubed U4 is that true?
@@patridiculous I'll believe so, they sound and feel pretty close to stock.
that got to be the quietest keyboard Ive ever heard
*points hands up in shackles* but you have heard it
Look up some zilent builds, even quieter

@@bluesrike I am not sure about lighter but I would personally recommend Zealios switches.

there is absolutely no way you aren't using O-ring dampeners!
What’s the knob at the top right? Is it volume or brightness ?
It is a rotary encoder, currently have it as volume but can be programmable.
@@timothysitu2554 got me thinking of getting rid of my keyboard I got not to long again. I would like the convenience of that!
I GOT THE SAME KEYCAPS BRO.
How do they feel?
Quite nice! Good tactility
It’s clicky or nothing
