I want to be excited, but the lack of substantial info after nearly 4 years is disheartening. I’m all for a few CGI trailers and some Mocap footage, but I actually want to know what I’m buying. Show me gameplay, even if it’s pre alpha. The skate game is a good example of how that constant communication maintains engagement even through a long development process

It took "AEW Fight Forever" four years to come out for very little reward.
I really hope they include the chains instead ring ropes option. Because i love the promotion ICW NHB and would be endlessly happy to be able to re-create it or having the original setting in this game. EDIT: And by the way...Lio Rush is still an active, not a former wrestler like JTG too. :)

Another game that's in developmental hell is Ultraviolent Pro Wrestling
It feels like they spent more time (and possibly) money on getting the roster rather than the game itself.

After the debacle with The Day Before, I can see why people are being suspicious about Wrestling Code.
Big difference is no company would go out of their way to have people sign a contract to appear in a game that's never happening.
@@GBTwelveSixteen its not like the promotions and talents have anything to lose anyways. they sign the contract: game happens then they make profit with image rights royalties, game doesnt happen then it sucks for them but they wont lose anything either.
contracts with VB probably doesnt even have non compete clauses as there were signed up guys that ended up appearing in fight forever or even wwe2k23 like Kurt Angle.
most of the names they done the mocap with are cheap indie guys or retired former wrestlers so even if the devs are spending money with the mocap sessions it isnt that much - and they are probably doing it to attract investor money anyways so it goes under their publicity budget.
There's no excuse for them to have so little to show, period. Okay if it's not finished, but there should unquestionably be more gameplay footage of it. 👎
Exactly all they’ve announced is which wrestlers are going to be in it. My guess it’s like aew fight forever they’ve over promised and know they’re going to under deliver

its not a matter of pressuring them to rush with the release date, its that they havent show any sensible progress in the development.
no actual gameplay footage other than a blender 3d model walking around an environment with store-bought assets
they most likely are trying to attract investor money first with the mocap shenanigans and wrestlers signups before actually developing the game

This has been dragging on for so long now I've gone off the boil
What annoys me the most is when you go to their UA-cam channel you have people commenting take your time. I responded to one and said yes they have. They have taken their absolute time. But it's a huge double standard because of WWE delays a game people go hurry up when is it coming out? But with these losers people are like yeah it's okay don't worry I don't care if I have to wait two decades lol.
To make a very well known phrase: "It's done when it's done."
I hope the tag team matches and 6 man tag match is fun and good to play with no glitches like 2K and fight forever.
Expecting no glitches in a game is like Assassinating Putin
I'm beyond excited for this game. Sure the wait is long and at times a bit frustrating when it comes to any more footage however I have faith in the devs. I'd rather wait another 2 years than getting yet another Fight Forever or even WWE 2K in terms of lack of quality.
i dont think people are upset for having to wait 3 to 4 more years for a playable release, peple are doubtful of the game being developed because no footage was shown other than pre-rendered cgi trailers and a 3d blender model running around in a store-bought environment
Same here. People complain if a game comes out glitchy and half baked. Same people complain if the devs take longer to release a game that is as good as it can be at release. Can't please these pathetic fools

AEW Fight Forever shows that how long you have doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
On the IG their posting pixtures of more roster. So hopefully that means something.
Shamrock and Angle in a wrestling game that isn't No Mercy? Color me impressed
They've been in other games past No Mercy with Shamrock being in a few WWE games after No Mercy.
Smackdown, wwe 13, wwe 2k16,17,18 all featured Kurt and Ken so what are you on about?
No Mercy was the only game to feature both Shamrock and Angle. Shamrock was in WWE 13 and 2K16. Angle was in 2K18, 19, 20 and 23. So yeah, this would only be the second game with both.

The Wrestling Code will be just fine.
And AEW Fight Forever will be fine when they start adding more stuff. They built a good foundation and just need to work on it. Especially because they said a sequel won't be happening for a good while so of course they will keep supporting it.
