    I am not even from Australia, but when there is a option in a 4x4 shop or online I always go for the Aussie product, if there is not something locally made.
    Because Australia has such strict rules and regulations (ADR approved) that I am confident the product is of superb quality.

    That's a great topic. It's more important than ever now to avoid Chinese made products, the best we can. Thanks to the nasty CCP and the way they bully and are inflicting a one sided trade war on Australia, I am so happy to pay more and avoid Chinese products. GME is great quality but their hand held UHF radios are made in China. So I went ICOM for my hand held radios, because they are Japanese and I could not find Aussie made hand held radios. My draws are made by Drifta Australia which are also fantastic. I could go on and on but we get the picture.

    The problem is, most people cannot grasp the real reason Aussie made has been dying. Yes you might point to some products that are good, but overall Aussie made is crap, we lost our textile industry, car industry, aerospace manufacturing etc, because the overseas products were superior and cheaper. My Camry is a great example, go drive any overseas made one and you would never in your life choose the Aussie made one.
    Don't buy Aussie just because it is Aussie, buy the superior one for your needs and price.

    • @adelarsen9776
      @adelarsen9776 3 роки тому

      Dear Matthew,
      Australia has lost its manufacturing base because successive governments have abolished import tariffs on cheap imported goods hence our manufacturers could not compete and so they go out of business.
      Your statement is fundamentally untrue and incorrect.
      Australian made products, what's left of them, are generally superior and well made. The only crap thing here is your silly comment.
