The best thing about forcing yourself to go out with friends and beat your separation anxiety is in fact the benefits for your son, even more than the benefits for you. Mom anxiety is one of the strongest predictors of future child/teen anxiety, as every child learns by imitation and through modeling. I know how hard it is (I have 2 kids, who are not kids anymore) but it is really worth it to make them stronger and more independent...
You’re absolutely right! I have 2 kids myself and learned this too! Even though my kids aren’t ‘kids’ anymore (22yrs and 15yrs) lol

Separation anxiety is very real. Lol. The first time I went out without my baby, I had the sitter send me pictures every 5-10 minutes. I had to take a step back and tell myself I wasn't a bad mom for leaving my son for a few hours. Enjoy the few moments you have away from baby!
My son was in the car w/ my mom while I got my nails done I cried & told them after they soaked off my gel I didn’t want anything else & ran to the car 😅🤯 my mom was like he’s fine he didn’t even cryy

YES! I don't even associate with my friends anymore cause they are always off partying, taking trips, which is 100% awesome for them! I just love being home with my little fam doing family things.

My first is almost 3 and I have yet to leave my babies. We don’t live near family and I am not ready to leave my babies with strangers. I love being their mom. My husband goes to work and misses then and is so excited when he gets home. We are both just so content being parents. ❤❤love the way you said it.

We were both pregnant at the same time! I gave birth in April. I have the same anxiety leaving my son. I left him for a trip recently. I almost ended the trip early to come home bc I missed him so so so so much. My grandma watched him, who I trust a million times over, but still my anxiety was through the roof. I went through every single possible outlandish scenario that could happen just because I wasn’t there. You’re def not alone mama!
Awe, your dealing with separation anxiety. It happens to a lot of new parents, it does get easier. Enjoy the moments you have with him being this little because they do grow up fast. I have a 14 yr old and feel like she was just a baby. You will find your balance in due time, it is good to have some time apart from the babies, and interact with just adults or even just alone time for yourself or you and your husband. No matter what you will have a little mom guilt leaving your baby, but the best part is when you come home and see how excited they are to see you. Your doing an amazing job!!❤

I totally feel you w just being so content w staying at home w your baby and being so used to being w them all the time that it’s so hard to leave them at all. I’ve been a stay at home mom while my husband works so now that he’s almost 2 I’m gonna be going back to work and it is so incredibly hard to even think about leaving him to go to work for the day. And he’s a huge mamas boy so he’s not gonna like it either which breaks my heart

My son is 2 & i feel the same. I don’t care to go out or “get away”… i really don’t want to be away from him & i don’t wanna be outside my home lmao 😂 I’m glad I’m not the only one
I used to be this way with my 1st child. It's so funny cause I had all these emotions also feeling guilty for leaving our son. But, after the 2nd, then 3rd child 😅 your gonna feel like this mama needs a break. If there's any advice I can leave you after waching you for so many years. Is that when you & your hubby get a chance to be away and just be a couple again. Take it, enjoy every minute, and then when it's time to go back to the babies, you will feel refreshed and enjoy those moments even more.

My son is 3yo, and his father and I still struggle with leaving him for "us" time. I left him for the first time at 1yo for a wedding in Alaska. When I tell you I cried the whole night before (we had to stay out of town for early departure). It never gets easier, but we all deserve to have time away from being a mom or a parent. I love you momma!
I feel you about leaving the baby. My daughter is 2 and we do have sitters but i get anxiety being without her even for a couple hours. Im a sahm and then i think about how im with her all day, everyday. Leaving our babies is tough. I left my baby at 6 months for a whole week because my fiancé and I had a trip booked to cabo since before covid and if we didn’t go we lost everything. It was the worst. Also, weird but i only trust my mother with her for even a few hours. You’re a great momma💓
It might work might not but what worked for me I went out of town with my son first and then had a mini trip for myself. That eased the anxiety and guilt lol. now that you’ve done a little of being away the next trip should be easier!
I’m definitely going to try the salt cause I drink a lot of water and still feel like I’m dehydrated. My hands have been extremely dry too 😩 I’ve tried pink Himalayan salt and it somewhat helped but I’m excited to try the celtic salt
