SkekSil is the Skeksis' Chamberlain, and counterpart to urSol the Chanter. He is the Chief Secretary of State, and thus next in line to the Skeksis' throne after Emperor skekSo. Despite his position, he is despised by the other Skeksis for his wheedling voice and underhanded nature.

Struggle is pointless, but Gelfling is welcome to try if it helps pass time.
200 IQ moment there: 1 Chamberlain literally drank his GF in front of his eyes laughting in his face 2 blatantly admitted to planning on killing Gelflings for immortality 3 Gave a reasonable justification for the draining 4 Only to then totally overshadow that reasoning by an even simpler and more better reasoning of peace as he knew the civil war would only destroy the Gelfling, 5 Then he turns Rians sense of honor against himself to literally follow him willingly without chains and resistance... If only he could see that rescure coming... But than again Chamberlain was already too late, by the time he had Rian in the carriage he the flames of insurgency were already lit and Generals idea of genociding Gelfling instead was already in motion. Chamberlain had a really good plan, drain regularily and in small doses, make it a rite, a tradition, Invent a justification that "The Crystal is sick, and only a regular sacrifice of Gelflings would bring it to balance... eventually".
Such a great scene with impressive and strong dialogue!

For being just a society of stupid selfish voltures , the skeks are absolutly tremendous wood/bone- carving artists . Just look at the design of the carriage ...everything in their society could just work anyway but they decide to carve it in a almost organic way .
... You really think those were made by Skeksis hands and design? ... I'd say it were Gelfling work demanded by Skeksis.
