Th y sat in the table with the Seelie queen before, where she addressed them as "Valentine's creations" and Clary corrected her by telling her only she's a child of valentine's, not Jace. Si she perfectly knew that he wasn't her brother - she just denied her feelings for him.
Clary literally had to pull herself away because she couldn't stop! We all know that she's still in love with Jace, and Jace is in love with her. #ClaceisOTP

And we all know what being broken hearted can do to people. It can change them for the worse. I can totally see Simon having an internal struggle to stay loyal to a friend or make her the enemy. After all, there's gotta be a part of him that still hates(let's be real he has a good reason to hate her even if he won't admit it) her for bringing him to that world. That anger and resentment could rear it's ugly little head.
I can also imagine Simon having that internal struggle and it'd be kind of interesting to watch. Though in the first episodes Alberto's acting was cringy, he's improved a lot and I see lots of potential in him to portray a real and complex internal struggle. But in the end I know that the good side of Simon would win because he is a very nice person and extremely loyal to his friends.

In the books it was so much more intense. The fact that at that time in the books they thought they were still brother and sister. Jace wanted her so badly he was ready to run away with her even if she was his sister.. and clary was confused that she was still in love with him even finding out they were siblings. This scene in the books is so strong because they loose control like this even while thinking they are still related
That’s why I couldn’t ship them in the books, though. I found it really uncomfortable that they were still hot for each other despite thinking they were siblings. Just too weird. I know you can’t help who you love but come on, guys.
