Yes. Great tutorial. I've been waiting for a good one. My question is how do you fix it if you have a bad resistor?

I have found that with the 3 I have had the resistor is never at fault, unless someone has shorted it (and that is not easy). The first thing I would do is make sure that the resistor is busted using a multimeter. If it is, I suggest buying a scrap vertibird and taking the resistor out of that (because you can't buy those resistors anywhere that I have looked) and solder it in parallel to the busted resistor. I have not had to do it yet.

I hope it does too, remember that the variable resistor is unlikely to be the problem. Make sure the two control levers work before purchasing.
